Trying to understand what is good for my new project - walk way & patio with stamped concrete. One contractor quote me with 6" wire mesh & other Fiber mesh. Is it really a deciding factor to choose a work?

Pls advice.

Is there a reason you're not using rebar? It has way more strength then wire mesh. And if you're going stamped concrete, I would stay away from fibers in your concrete as it might show up in the pattern.

Hello,

Both methods are a good option for concrete re enforcement. When it comes to stamped concrete, the better option is to use wire mesh as it does not affect the surface (fibre will be visible on the surface affecting its appearance, although eventually it will wear away)

Thanks,
