What is laundering tax?

I am have my master bath repaired. This estimate my contractor gave me has a line item that show a Laundering Tax. What is the Laundering Tax for?

The only tax approved is HST. Ask for their HST registration number also to see if they are registered too.

I would definitely be questioning them on that. The only tax should be HST. That should raise a red flag on your end . Do some investigating before you hire them. A little time checking is time well spent.Good luck and I hope this is of some help to you.

To me it sounds like "Money Laundering Tax"!!! Never heard of it before definitely look into it before signing any contracts or hiring these guys.

Never hear that before, usually just 5% GST
