I just had my downspouts and gutters replaced but I am not sure this was done correctly.
Should the elbow go up higher as in roof gutter > elbow > downspout.
I seem to have gutter to downspout to elbow to down spout.
This is creating a noise and perch that I don't think should be there if the gutter went into an elbow first then over to the wall.
Also should my extended downspout go through bushes? I would suspect it is better to go around them
The only time that I would do that is if the fascia board is very wide and the elbow would not sit directly on bottom of eaves. And in the pics there seems like there was no obvious reason why it was done this way. The extension on the bottom of the pipe will be ok running into the bushes but if it truly is a concern than speak to the contractor and have them change it to the way you like it. If the bush is obstructing the outflow of the extension than yes there definitely is an issue but it may have been done this way as a way to conceal the pipe
