What is the ballpark price to build a plain deck, 10 by 12 ft and a fence to cover the area, 54 by 42 ft?

The base estimate is needed. Extras will add to this price.

Hi there,

Price will depend on what type of material you would like it to be built of. If you could mention this it, I could provide you with an accurate estimate of the project.

The pressure treated regularly used wood would be the material. I need the base price and will go from there.

If you are going with a simple 6' "good neighbour" fence you are looking at about $28 a linear ft. And that would be with 4x4 posts. From there your pruce can go up depending what you want to add or for other designs. For the deck you are looking at aprox. $18sq.ft. and up depending on design, material and railings.

Hope that helps a little.

Hi Henry,

The base amount for a fence is between $25-$40 per linear foot depending on a couple things such as: custom or panel fences & grades.

The base amount for basic decks is almost the same only square footage.

Viewing the layout of the project allows for a true, fair quote.

Thanks,

Chris

$25 a linear foot for the fence plus any extras like gates, gate hardware etc.

$20 and up per square foot for a plain pressure treated deck built to code with in 3 feet of the ground.

Hey Henry,

Pressure treated fence 6 ft. high with 4X4 posts are $25.00 per. lin. ft. for fence and $50.00 per. post, that price also depends on access to the yard.

A deck is $25.00 per. sq. ft. for pressure treated wood, steps and railings are extra.

If your deck is more than 2 ft. off the ground you would also require a permit and railings are mandatory for a deck more than 2 ft. off the ground.
