I hired a contractor to build and install new windows. The contractor keeps on delaying delivery and install. He is screening my calls. I have paid for the first installment. What options do I have?

First call the BBB. The more people harrassing the contractor the better. Your next option is to file for contract arbitration (legal action). This is where you must do your due diligence before hiring and make sure the contractor is bonded as well.

Sorry to hear about your headache.

I agree with Shaun on the BBB. I am not sure about Ontario but in Alberta you have to have a permit to take prepayments for work to be done. If that is the case in Ontario the government will also be harassing them for you as well.

Not all contractors are like them and my heart goes out to you and hope you get this settled.
