What to do wih high humidity in a 50 yr old house?

I get moisture in our windows which are new.

What could be causing this?

There is too much moisture in the house. Anything over 50% RH in any home, during the winter, can cause wet windows.

If you have a humidifier in the duct work, lower it to about 40% RH maximum until the wet stops and you may have to adjust this to the zone where the moisture begins again to still be comfortable. As the weather gets colder, the more affect this has on the humidity dropping.

Too much humidity causes mold and odors, not enough causes nose bleeds, cracking wood and frames.
