Our telposts need adjusting in our house. We had a contractor come out and adjusted them but they adjusted too much and when I tried to call them back they wouldn't answer.
They dropped the floor too much that our kitchen floor dropped an inch and now the floor is pushing downwards on the basement walls and pushing the wall paneling off.
My question is which way do I turn the telepost to bring the floor back up?
Why would they have adjusted the post to begin with? Generally once these are set by the builder they never need touched again. If the drop of an inch is putting stress on the wall it should also have cracked every corner of the drywall in the kitchen.
I suspect you may have a structural issue and you may want to consult with an engineer before you or anyone else adjust the post.
