Blue and brown are two great colours when put together correctly. For example robin's egg blue (walls) and dark chocolate brown (bed spread and head board) go very well together as a combination. The key is finding the shade of blue that will go with your shade of blue. If your blues are similar then you will be ok. Also you may want to try adding silver accents in terms of accessories such as lamp bases, picture frames as a way to lighten , and tie the room together.

Powder Blue & Chocolate are great. I would do a darker chocolate with it Lots of it out there right now.

Crystal lamps are easy to find & are popular right now with round or square shades.. I often find a lamp I like but change shade with a color for accent Color in room. Brushed or polished nickle. ( Clients call it silver) is also popular right now. Powder blue is a cool color so Brown will warm it up. Feng Shui wise Blue is a color used in bedrooms.

If you have decided to buy the brown furniture then buy it and set it up. you will find out how it looks. if it doesnt look good them just change the colors of walls.
