All answers are greatly appreciated!

I would like to know if a space any less than 24" is acceptable as an opening for standard dishwashers. Would the space have to be 24" wide back against the wall too (for the back of the dishwasher)?

Also, what is your opinion of having a dishwasher next to an oven? Does there have to be a barrier between the two? What type of barrier? Are there any safety regulations regarding this type of setup?

Thank you

The dishwasher will require the full 24" for the entire depth of the cabinet. Their should be at least a 5/8 end panel between the stove and the dishwasher. This end will help to support the countertop.
