Painting My Bathroom

Was just looking for some thoughts and opinions. I painted my master bedroom a beautiful sage green, which I love. My master bathroom is a bright white. Is it a normal thing to have the bedroom and bath painted the same color? I can't stand the bright white.

Hi Wanda,

What colour are the tiles and the floor in the bathroom? Is there a colour in there that would look great with the the colour of your bedroom? While it is important for the bedroom and bathroom wall colours to compliment each other it isn't vital that they be the same colour. A contrasting colour or a lighter or darker value of the bedroom colour might look great as long as it goes with the other finishes you have in the bedroom.

Cheers

usually its the same, but you can paint it with other colors which you like, maybe light apply green will be good since they aren't too white.

Our master bedroom and master bathroom are almost the same color of blue. They aren't exactly the same color. The bathroom is a shade or two darker then the bedroom is. The colors go together really well. I asked my wife why she didn't paint them both the same color, and she told me she wanted to use different colors for the two rooms, but still wanted them to look almost the same.

So yes, they can be the same color or different color as long as the colors work well together.

Yes, it is the normal same colour but better to have 2 colours.

Hey there! Totally get where you're coming from. Mixing up the paint vibes in different rooms can bring a cool contrast. If you're digging the sage green in your master bedroom, why not carry that vibe into the bathroom? It's your personal sanctuary, so it should reflect your style. Who needs that bright white if it's not your jam, right? Go with what feels good for you. If sage green is the color that makes you smile, go ahead and splash it in both spots.
