Curious to know if anyone has installed a pull chain toilet, and if they have, do you know how well they work ?

Our house is 101 yrs old and we are slowly taking it back so this type, would suit the house perfectly.

They work very well, because the water has a lot of force, falling from that height. However, quiet they are not. It's not extremely loud, but it is more than a normal toilet.

They also cost a lot, starting around $1500 and up. You will also have to move the water supply up the wall.

They do look great once they are installed, especially beside a claw foot tub.

Hi Gary,

We have installed them and would agree with James.
