Ok.... Doing a kitchen Reno... Love a range -36" but this will be situated beneath and between 2 winDows.. Measuring 30" apart. Can I install a top of the line hood, measuring 30" oVer a 36" range ( actually 33" cook space)?

My question .. If I have a 600 vfm hood capable of drawing , is this optically appealing and functionally ok?

Hi Kathryn.

It is important to follow the manufacture's installation specs and one key aspect is that they suggest the hood fan be as wide as the range for it to perform as it is suppose to. If not, in particular with gas stoves, any combustible materials would have to be set off in accordance with the stove manufacture's specs.

While I have not been a big fan of downdrafts, there has been recent improvements with this product and it may be solution worth considering given your circumstances.
