Sprucing up an acrylic tub liner

Hi. We recently bought a house which included a renovated bathroom including a tub and wall liner. I'm used to tiles so I think it's really plain and boring-looking and would like to spruce it up somehow. Is there anything I can do for the walls other than buy decals? Could I still put tile on it or would that just defeat the purpose of the liner?

Thanks,

Marlies

Marlies,

I wouldn't put tile on it as it probably flexes too much. The tile or grout would crack, leak and get mouldy.

Go to your local professional paint shop (not Home Depot) and ask about paint that will stick to your liner. Its probably ABS plastice but you will need to have someone check to make sure.

Best of luck,

Andrew
