I'm installing a shower with sliding doors. Is there a minimum width that the shower opening needs to be to conform to Ontario building code?

Hello Dave:

Neither Ontario or Canadian building codes have a specific diameter of door opening.

The only requirement is minimal access which is 24" anything above you can go as big as you choose.

Normally people buy doors and they accommodate the opening to the standard door size of your choice.

Now for a door purchase to a specific size existing then it will have to be custom made.

Hope this 2 cents helped. Good luck Dave!

Cheers
