Consumer reports and municapial web sites have lists of toilets that have been tested to work properly. I have never had a problem using any toilets from those lists.

So far I have been using KOHLER this year for all my projects, I used to rely on American Standard..

Morning Connie

A great resource that I use for finding out the quality of a toilet is with the MAP score system

This is put together by the Canadian Water Association. A top rated toilet will have a score of 1000

Any toilets with a score of 800 or over are very good

Just a bit more info to help with your decision

Hi Connie,

I install equipment in people's homes. Anytime I used their facilities and was pleased by the way their toilets worked, I was surprized to find out it was always a Toto (manufacturer).

Hope this helps you.

Hey Connie.

I am not a plumber, but I have installed and seen many toilets installed in my jobs. Any reputable plumber I know seems to love Toto toilets. I also like Kohler but I have met enough plumbers that hate them for one reason or another.

Hope this helps.

I think any of the American Standard Cadet 3 Toilets are the best. Glazed trap. 1000Map, Single or dual flush, 1 piece or 2 and all these toilets get the municipal rebate.

Price is uner $300 for any of these models.
