A unit above my condo had its shower leak and its ruined my drywall. Extensive repairs are needed to get rid of the mold, fix the trap door to the pipes, re mud, sand, prime and repaint the entire bathroom. What does a taper normally charge an hour to have a project like this completed. Its not a simple fix, but it will take a week or so to complete.

Hi Josh! Sounds like you might need more than a taper there. The condo above should be paying for the damages in a case like that. Get who ever you want there should be no cost to you seeing they caused the problem. Thats why we have insurance. Talk to your insurance company they usually have contractors to recommend. Hope this helps you, good luck

Hi Josh,Stewart here of sct floorcoverings.Give your self a month timewise for this project .Remove all damp and moldy materials.Use cement boards or Dense sheild boards instead of drywall when you re-build the walls.-Much better performance in damp rooms.Address all plumbing issues.Make sure new washroom is well ventilated-Avoid steam build ups.Have a good -vented to the exterior exhaust fan installed.Consider an upgraded washroom when you re-build.The appreciated house value with the upgrades will compensate your losses on the demolition.Best regards-Stewart-Sct floorcoverings,Mississauga ont 416-295-0906
