Electric Thermal Storage Units

We have had two ETS appliances in our new home for three years and have noticed an increase in the number of times a fan comes on in the one in our living room. It is quite loud and we are wondering what might be stimulating this to happen. The other one operates quietlly and a fan or blower never comes on.

Could it be a cold draft blowing on it, or the fact that we also have a wood-burning stove in the same room causing the thermostat to start this action. We are a little puzzled.

Thanks for your help.

It could be various air flows throughout the home causing the internal temperature to fluctuate enough to cause this cycling.

If the fans make an abnormal squeeling or other noise, do not use them.
