I have a 1972 , 1200 sq foot Manufactured Home with a flat roof. It has severe water leaks in roof, poor insulation, Water Damage and mold, mildew in ceilings and walls, condensation issues in one bedroom. Windows are single pane, leak in air drastically. How can I fix these issues or get professional help to fix them on a severely fixed disabled persons budget, is it even worth doing the repairs on an old mobile home like this? Where can I start repairs? Most severe water leak is around an old chimney for wood burning stove, ceiling is sagging in dining room, mold visible in kitchen ceiling.
Water damage visible on living room ceiling and walls. Sofets and fascia boards rotted out. I suspect there may be wiring issues as we had squirrels living in the roof last summer.
Hi Susan,
This doesn't sound like it is a cheap fix.
What you have to ask yourself is if you plan to stay where you are for the foreseeable future?
If you have to stay there then you should get the problems addressed and then fix them one problem at a time, so that they don't cause more expenses down the road.
Getting to the worst problems first and working your way through the list of areas to be fixed is your best bet.
Good luck,

Susan,
Perhaps try the local Habitat for Humanity. If they can't help, perhaps they can recommend an organization that assists people in your situation.
Brett
Thank you, both Bill and Brett for your helpful suggestions. I will definately try your suggestion, Brett, as I cannot see moving being a choice in the near future. I appreciate your time and thoughtfullness in taking time to respond.
