We have presently put in weeping tiles and still have an issue with water in our cellar room which our deck is on top, there is alot of corrosion on the deck and in the cellar a lot of mosture and water has created mould.
We want to know if there is a way to seal the top deck and in how to waterproof in the cellar. We were told that maybe to just tear out the deck and put blocks in the basement to seal it all off.
What do you recomend to do?
With out more detail I can only speculate. First is the grading around the cellar proper? Does the cellar have vents to the outside, this is necessary. Is the waterproofing on the cellar walls proper? Do you have a sump pump in the basement? You might have a problem with water pressure around that area. Was the deck built properly, with no penetrations from columns or supports? There are a lot of variables.
It's best if you get someone in to take a look.
