igniting gas fireplace

Hi Everyone,

I am stuck with a common problem - igniting the pilot of my natural gas fireplace. I switched off the pilot when summer started. I tried switching it on by turning the on-off-pilot nob.

Turned the dial to pilot - kept it pressed for about half minute - and more during repeated trials - several times over last few days - while pressing the ignite button. But the spark did not come.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for every thot / suggestion and advice - and taking time to reply. :)

Hi Addy! Best suggestion to give to you is to call a company that installs them. You don't want to play around with gas devices if you do not know what is wrong.n Better to be safe than sorry I always say. But it sounds like a simple problem that can be fixed quickly. Hope that helps.
