Is it necessary to have my ducts cleaned?

In Fact I would not even turn your new furnace on until you have done, especially as they have only been cleaned once in the last 20 years.

You have just put a new furnace in and only clean it once in 25 years I would suggest you get someone to clean your duck work right away. You should clean your ducks once a year.

Some people will tell you not to clean it because the are dumb! if you dont see the dust it doesnt mean its not hurting you.

Duct cleaning is very important. spending $100 every year is not a big deal.

Not only is it a health issue but it can be a fire issue as well. As dust and other health related spores and air born organisms will build up and can infect the occupants of the home. Dust and other dry and flamible things can built up in the ducts and if heated enough or sparks hit this then you will have a fire.

That is the key reasons to have your ducts cleaned every year.

Hello Sir,

Yes we recommend you that to have your ducts cleaned every 2nd year, because you breath the same air which comes through the ducts. If ducts are not cleaned you could have different viral deseaes like asthma etc. But make sure when you hire the duct cleaning company they must do the proper duct cleaning and clean all the supply and return air ducts cleaned.

If you do not do a clean up of your duct you must change the air filter once a month.

If you change your air filter on a regular basis then duct cleaning once every five year should be fine.

In my opinion, getting them cleaned every year is an overkill.
