Jet pump won't shut off.

I have a shallow well located approximately 60 yds from my house. There is a jet pump located in the basement. Pump company just installed a check valve at the pump and about 4 hrs after completion the pump turns on, won't generate more than 50 psi and subsequently, won't shut off. Check valve was to get me through the weekend due to their belief there is a leak in the line somewhere between the well and house.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like a leak in the line may be correct which is why the pressure wont rise and the pump is consistently on due to not being able to reach its pressure threshold.

I use Bruce from Water Depot for all my well stuff on my custom homes. Give him a shout, I highly recommend him
