It depends on several factors. There are several different qualities of siding and every manufacturer has different colours, profiles (styles) and qualities to offer you a choice. Further to this, the installation depends on the number of walls, the number of corners, the number of items to side around (vents, taps, power outlets, decks, etc.),number of windows and doors, and the list goes on.

The differences in quality define the R factor (insulation rating) as well as the UV protection built into the siding.

I would suggest talking to a siding representative about your needs. First, take the measurements on your house, include windows, doors, etc., pick the style and colour(s) that you like, and go from there. You don't have to commit to any one company so once you have a more specific idea as to what you want, to can certainly compare manufacturers.

The installation rates vary not only to the degree of difficulty, but also the demand. I'd suggest booking someone as soon as you know what products you want. Get two or three estimates and get 'er done.
