Need to know the closest estimate to fully renovate a 29year old house.
Very nice area, very nice exterior but interior requires a total update.
4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, kitchen, great room, family room and dining and patio.
I would like to see if buying a new one with much smaller yard is better than this house in a great area and much bigger lot.
I wish I can send picture of the house but I am not the owner as of yet. :)
Thank you.
Hi Elisa,
If you're not going to do a lot structural work/changes you are looking at around 150k-200k.
You can design and renovate a house to your own taste and make it really beautiful.
Hello.
For a complete renovation of your interior taking out pretty much everything and replacing all the finishes you are looking anywhere from 85K to 200k. Depending on finishes, structural work, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC.
Whether it's worth it to invest a significant amount of money into a the property you mentioned or just buy another property that has less potential. I'll say invest in the potential of the first property. Not only the value of that property will improve dramatically but you'll have a property where it's been build and improved up to your standards and taste.
Hope this answer helps you!
Best of luck

Hi Elisa, You're looking at $150 -$300 per square foot mid-range. $200-$400 high end. and $75-$150 lowend. it all depends on what features you want. how far you want to go as far as details. hard to give even a ballpark figure without much information.
Thank you so much for your replies.
