I have a client interested in building a shed/workshop outbuilding in their backyard. Access is limited, and far from the curb (almost 100 ft. from curb to rear boundary of lot) so concrete would need to be pumped in. I think it's not in his budget but thought I'd better find out anyway. Cost for 19'x12' slab, 6 depth? Or is a 4 slab acceptable?
What is the heaviest thing you would put on that slab ? It seems that even a 4 in slab would be more than you need if you are storage gardening equipment. Use the same thickness as a sidewalk from 2.5 to 3.5 inches, approx. 80 bags of ready, which you can mix with a small electric mixer.
Just make sure the ground has been prepared properly and the forms allowing for ease of access.
Rate will depend on site location. 4 inch slab will be sufficiant. We would move cement by wheelbarrow to area. probably looking at 12 to 18 dollars per sqft
Hello, based on both size and accessibility the cost would be between $3000-$4000.
Thanks,
John
