We are interested in adding a 3rd garage to our home...attached to an existing 2 car garage. We need it to be a minimum of 16 X 36. The laneway would need to be widened to accommodate the 3rd garage and the utilities would need to be moved as they run up the same side of the property. We would like the garage insulated and a door large enough for a RV (10 ft high) as well as a smaller garage door in the back end. Our home is sided and we are wondering whether we will need to reside in order to tie everything together. We are wondering about costing of a project like this? We live in Middlesex Centre rather than in the city.
This is a unique project and you likely won't find exact numbers here...strictly guesses. I'd say have $45-55k at the ready based on the driveway, size of structure, oversized doors, electrical, siding, relocating meters etc etc...
Big project. Just be sure to take your time planning, researching contractors & obtaining at least FIVE estimates. Be sure to get EVERYTHJNG in writing...no cash deals for anything.
