What is the approximate cost to build a covered deck and patio approximately 700 sq feet.

It all depends on what you want to put on/in the deck. You could go with a simple cedar deck with a structure and keep it is as low as 20k probably, or you could go all out. I had a composite deck put in with a 14x14 covered space (full roof structure) and then another open space with a hot tub and bbq area. We also put a stone wall in with gas firepit, it ended up being close to 70k. It is all in the finishes and what you add to it.
