Cost to move ceiling light placement?

No more than a few hundred for electrical, but hiring someone to repair the holes and repaint will certainly cost the most.

It may not be quite as simple as you may think. If the cables are not long enough, then there will need to be additional electrical work required as you cannot bury an electrical box in the ceiling to extend it to the new location. That may require going to the nearest receptacle or the switch on the wall.

And then as stated, you will need somebody to patch and paint.
