How much would it cost to replace an exterior door and sidelight with a large door and glass insert? The door is 32 in and with the sidelight, the opening is about 42 in wide.

Thanks.

It all depends, doors range from $300 to $3000.00 depending what door you have in mind. Installation is the same assuming that there is a structural support above your door and your door opening is proper to accommodate the door your looking at around $500.00 to $1400.00. An assessment would need to be done to see if flashing is required.

I hope this was helpful.

Hi Anita,

Is the size that you supplied including the frames?

When you measure the size outside from brick to brick, if you have at least 43 1/2" we would install a large door of 42" wide and then you don't need a side lite beside it.

We do those doors with a 3/4 or full size glass units, and the price depends on the glass design.

You will be looking at 1700$ and up with a rod iron design.

Thanks,

Harry C.

Hello Anita,

The cost for this door will be $500-$1500.

The only deference it's style of the glass.

Thanks,
