Drywall Finisher

When they first coat a garage, they just throw the mud on the wall and have no intention of finishing it, or care if it cracks. That beiing said, it will all have to sanded down and any spots where the tape is cracked, dug out and redone.

It's actually easier if it wasn't first coated and I have actually had to take down the drywall before and start over, because it was faster and cheaper than trying to save what was there.

It should take 3-5 days to finish and not knowing your local rates, around $2000.

Hi Robin,

The rate quoted in the previous post is in the ballpark. I will only add two things: first you will need to heat the garage to allow the mud to dry properly and if the board has yellowed at all you will need to prime it with a stain blocking primer.
