Pricing exterior painting may be vary depending what you want to be done. To giving you a proper estimate we need to know how many windows you have, what type these are, how's the acces to reach them, if you want to change color and if applying with latex or oil base.

Resealing is normally about 30$ per window. That includes a designer home quality sealing with a top materials like dow. Of course you can get handymen to so do the sealing for much cheaper somewhat about 10 to 15$ per window, but don't expect straight caulking line or quality materials to be used.

All together with sanding, painting and sealing you are looking to spend about 40-60$ per window you get top quality job done, or 20-30$ per window for something less professional.

Having in mind the fact that you might wand to save some money and will go with the cheaper option, I personally think that it is easier to just cap the windows with aluminium and seal. Less work, same or much better effect. I believe that could cost you maximum 40$, and you can choose any kind of aluminium colour and cover the wooden frame from direct access of moisture and sun. The only con with capping is that you can't really cap the sash of the window. Some sliders from 1960's are just the wooden frame with a tempered glass sliding on the wooden inserts.
