I want to know the cost for changing flooring from carpets to Ceramic for approx. 700 sq.feet. The cost should include removing of the carpet, the cost of labors, the cost of all required materials including ceramic and removing the debris.

Also I want to know how many days does it take to do so. What are permission needed know that i'm a tenant not the owner of the apartment.

This area is for the living room and three other bedrooms. No furniture is inside. The apartment is in the second floor.

I would allow about 9 or 10 thousand dollars, and about 3 days to complete.

Regarding "permissions", I would start by reading your lease agreement. If there is nothing in that document, I would find out what the provincial laws state.

I would imagine that you may have to provide funds to pay to have the apartment returned to the condition it was in when you signed the lease.

I would budget for about $10,000.

I dont beleive you are able to install tile as it is not usually an approved flooring material for condo's especially on floors above other tenants.

The usual material is carpet and approved laminate with sound deadning underpad.

Would be about $12 - $15 / sqft!
