Garage and deck expansion

My question is two fold. Firstly, I am going to be building a double door with man door access with dimensions of 30x20. 3 metre height to eaves and 4.5 to peak of roof. I plan to shingle the roof, insulate, wire, and drywall the interior and also have a small natural gas furnace. My plan is, concrete pad base, brickwork and then a veneer stucco.

Any idea on a rough estimate would be appreciated.

Second question, I currently have a two story deck. Top section is currently approx. 12x10, I would like to expand this to be approx 25x10. The deck is currently affixed to the house. I would also like to put a shingled roof over the new whole deck with eaves. So say roughly 29x14 roof.

Any rough estimates would be appreciated!

Hi Dave, If you are just looking to create a budget, a 2 car garage framing and roof would be $25,000 plus the slab and whatever else you want to put into it. You can actually buy them in kit form. You should probably plan for $50,000 based on the details you posted - you are actually building a little house with garage doors.

Second story decks would run about $25.00 per square foot.

A roof would run $10 - $15 per square foot.

Projects of this type definitely require plans and permits. If you are serious about this and already have the plans, why not put your requirements in the "post your projects" section so you can get some local contractors to give you some accurate quotes.

Hope this helps!
