Hi Bill! Well if you just had it renovated you might want to call the company who did your enovation to see if they will unclog it for you? You can try a 1/4 inch snake in it if you have one? Have you tried plunging it? Depending on the severity of the clog some baking soda and some vinegar may help. But that is mostly useful in keeping a drain clean. All else fails call a plumber. Hard to diagnosis a problem with little information. Good luck!

Hi Bill,

If the plug is in a sink, chances are that you can just remove the trap under the sink and check in there. That is probably where the problem is. If it is not in there, you can feed the snake in through after the trap a lot easier. I doubt very much that you will have to break open the walls to clear a sink.

Hey Bill,

There should be a union trap with a clean out under the sink. Unscrew the clean out (don't forget the bucket) & see what's clogging it, hair, toothpaste cap, etc. if its a union trap you should be able to remove the trap to see the problem if the clean out does not solve it.

If problem persists, call your contractor & make sure he vented the sink properly.
