porcelain tile installation and drywall ceiling?

Just under 800sqft area just looking for a rough estimate so i can manage my reno budget. I already bought the tile its 12x48 woodlook i want it laid in a staggered pattern. ceiling Needs framing and soundproofing/insulation 820sqft

Hey Aimee,

An average price for labour only on tile is around $8.50 per. sq. ft. included in that price the person laying the tile should be using the (R.L.S.) clip system...Google RLS tile system if you don't know what they are. Are you laying the tile on a wooden sub-floor, if so you should be using (Detra) under the tile.

Framing is around $10.00 per. sq. ft. on a ceiling, Roxul-Insulation is a good choice for sound damping. And if your budget allows you could use (Quiet rock) drywall, it's very expensive but works great. Last year we used it in a sound studio that does' TV work and the manager of the studio loved it.
