Refinishing galvanized chimneys (strata)

We are a small townhouse complex located in Coquitlam. We have 10 units with 6' galvanized chimneys in which the paint has all but completely peeled off.

The chimney approximately 12" in diameter and have a custom flange at the base.

We are looking for costs to re-paint, as well as other economically viable options such as re-cladding or using flashing etc.

Considerations:

Accessibility: Limited as the chimneys start at the top of 2nd floor and are on a very pitched roof.

Painting: Would likely require 3 coats - primer, base and then paint

We've received one quote for recladding and just painting the existing flange. The quote was for $1475 per unit.

We'd like to spend ~$500 per chimney. Is there a solution in this price range?

Thanks,

Garrett
