$3.00 per sq ft is mid range price material only before tax. $300.00 to pull up carpet remove to dump. Installation approximately $!,000.00.

Costco has some nice laminates for about $1.79 a sq ft, foam backing included.

We charge $2.00 a sq. ft. to install plus transitions. Carpet removal & disposal would be $100.00. Plus HST.

You should budget roughly $6 per square foot for carpet removal, underlayment, flooring, and installation. Assuming you do not want garbage installed.

Also, a hidden cost here may be the cost of baseboards and/or a shoe moulding plus the costs associated with painting those as your new laminate floor needs to be held back from the walls and/or existing baseboard to allow for expansion.

carpet removal $.50/sqft

underlayment $.50/sqft

flooring $2.50/sqft

install $1.50 to $2.50 a square foot

$.75 lf re and re base

Laminate $1-3 dollars retail sf

Leveling if needed ?

Underlay $.10- .50 per sf

Contents $35 per room

Rough cost for medium quality laminet.

$2/sqft labour + $2/sqft material x 600sqft.

$75/room to remove carpet, tac strip and staples.

Underpad about $0.50 depending on quality if needed.

Approx.$ 2 per sq' for laminate.

$50-75 for carpet removal.

New baseboards $ 0.60 - 0.80 L/ft.
