there is many cost that do come with tiling including raw materials.

These days you can buy prefinished bathroom cubby made of quartz between $250 to 400.

I'd estimate each niche would add another $150 as it would require support, waterproofing and edging plus labour $100, so a total of $250 for a custom niche wouldn't be unreasonable.
