I am a student looking for a ROUGH quote (i.e. you do not have to spend a lot of time) on renovating a bathroom to make it wheelchair accessible. This is for a project I am working on and I just need an idea of what that cost may be. Any help would be really appreciated. The only requirements are that the entrance is a minimum of 32"; the sinks need to have at least 32 inches of clearance from the floor, and the toilet needs to be at least 16" high. There needs to be approximately 60 inches of "free space" to allow a turning radius (if possible). Even if the quote would just be an average on what most people spend to renovate there bathroom (i.e. labour costs) would be appreciated.
Thank YOU!
I have only one total bathroom in my house and I'd like to add a tiny bathroom (toilet, sink and shower) in my basement if possible. I need someone to come out to my house and make an estimation for this project. My house was built in 1945, and it is a 2 storey house with 3 bedrooms and 1 total bathroom. There is a recreation room in the basement. My total budget will be under 10000 dollars.
Thanks!
I have an old clawfoot style bathtub with no shower. I want to add a shower & surround tiling. I'm looking for a price please. I can purchase the tiling myself if that helps, but need a quote for the installation of the shower head, I suppose redo the wall once that is done, and do the tiling. Thanks.
Requires working around existing toilet/sink. Partial rebuild/ extension of framing, install floor drain and plumbing for shower, reverse door (inswing to outswing) and replace/make flooring good in bathroom and hallway. Based on my previous experience my concerns include sufficient slope in the drain to ensure fast drainage and independent control of water pressure and temperature in the shower.
What we want is something simple, just to have the toilet installed, the stand up shower, and a vanity of some sort. We would like the least expensive way, and reasonable amount to spend on this project. We've already had one contractor look at it and we got a quote, but we would like to hear a second opinion.
We want to have the basement of our 2 storey house renovated, it is unfinished and we need an extra liveable space in the house. We require only rough/structural/plumbing fhinishing, flooring, insualtion, walling and ceiling, we will do the finishing touches, limited budget so we need a company that would understand our family's need for reasonalbe pricing.
Involves the removal and repositioning of drain in concrete basement floor for stand alone shower installation. The original tub has been removed. Would also involve the installation of a MAAX 60"x32"x3" acrylic shower base (LH drain). The new drain is to be located within the same vicinity of the existing installation (within inches) however, below the concrete.
Currently have an unfinished basement and would like to put in a full bathroom. Looking for a walk in shower no bathtub. No specific material required and would be looking at a space around 50 sq ft. Possibly including the washer / dryer into one room with the bathroom so around 100 sq ft total. I am the property owner.
If its better to finish the complete basement I am also open to that.
Looking at having a basement bathroom created (shower, toilet and sink), interior measurements are 9' x 5'. Currently there is just a big laundry room. We are in need of someone who is able to add plumbing (roughly 12 ft) and electricity and get all required permits.
If it's more cost effective we are ok with someone just building the room, adding plumbing and electricity, and obtaining the necessary permits, and we can put in the finishing (shower, toilet and sink) ourselves. Thank you!
I want to put a bathroom in my basement. There is water hookups in my laundry room but the whole bathroom would need to be constructed. I am looking for a company that can help me create the most cost efficient bathroom possible. I am not looking for anything crazy fancy just a decent sized bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub/shower.
I am wanting to get a rough estimate for the construction of the room (drywall, doorway, flooring) and the plumbing and installation of the bathroom pieces. I am the owner of the property.
Please email me at david.mandrick@gov.mb.ca if you think that your company would be a good fit for this project or if you have any other questions for me. I am a relatively new home owner so any information or recommendations that you have on how to go about this project would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David
We would like to gut and redo our small basement bathroom. The house is 60 years old but this is the third reno in the bathroom. This would include changing the bathtub to a stand up corner shower, new sink and vanity and new toilet. we would like the floor redone in ceramic tiles. all walls and ceiling have already been ripped out just need someone with time to finish the project.
The house was built in 1922 and is located near Polo Park. We need a small bathroom with shower in the basement. The bathroom would be very near the sewer line as there is an existing bathroom on the second floor. Nothing fancy here because we don’t want to put in money on this old house. We just need the most reasonably priced functioning bathroom. Thanks!
I have a 5’7” x 5’7” x 7’ high basement bathroom to built. We would need plumbing for water supply to vanity/sink and shower, install sink and corner shower, run water waste return to main pipe, run electrical for lights would be either beside the mirror ir in the mirror, electrical for fan, drywall, ceiling (suspended ceiling is preferred), and painting. Toilet and flooring already done.
I can send pics and floor plan, and deco draft, if needed.
Regards,
David
Small bathroom, has no bath.
Need new shower, flooring, vanity, cabinet, lighting, fixtures, toilet ect. Wall beside shower will need new drywall.
I realize everyone is very busy, but if I could get something lined up to at least take everything out. The bathroom is not used.
So reno can be done later.
Thanks
Hi there.
I was wondering if you take on smaller projects, like a basement bathroom, or even smaller, like installing a bathtub in a basement. I'd like to really get this done before the end of the year. I know the tub I want to buy, but not sure exactly where it needs to go. I think that the bathroom is sort of roughed in in the basement, but I know very little about it. Would pay you even to just come and tell me what to do!
Thanks in advance.
Todd
I want to develop 3/4's of an undeveloped basement of a bungalow. (The upstairs square footage is approx. 1500). This would include a laundry room, 3 piece bathroom (rough in already in basement), exercise room, bedroom, computer room and rec room. Computer room and rec room would be one room basically with a half hall separating. Storage area (Containing furnace and water heater and storage in basement (other 1/4 or less) would remain unfinished except for drywall to be put up. In area to be developed would like to have suspended ceiling, laminate flooring in areas other than laundry, bathroom and exercise room, commercial type flooring for exercise room, duraceramic for bathroom (we have but would require installation), antifatigue matting is fine in laundry room, small bar area with sink and limited cabinetry and counter, cabinets in laundry room (functional not fancy), raised 6 panel doors, glazed glass panelled door for exercise room (sliding perhaps?). Also want cold air ducts installed where appropriate, proper floor underlayment, and sufficient recessed lighting. Bath fan can be connected to existing central exhaust, bar sink is near existing water lines and there is secondary vent and pipe near by (as kitchen sink and drain is directly above proposed location).
This is a 2-part job:
1) Renovate the basement bathroom by putting in a tub instead of the existing shower stall.
2) Put in a basement kitchen where there's a storage room right now. The storage room is right behind the bathroom, so there's easy access to plumbing.
I am looking for cost estimates on this job.

I have a bathroom in the basement, my son took out the shower because it was leaking. I now need a show in there, plus some other stuff for the right quote. I was looking into getting just the shower put in, but if the price is right, maybe do the whole bathroom. (floor, ceiling, and maybe a small closet)
we need to replace our tub in the main bathroom. the house is a bilevel (attached) and was built in the 70's. we installed a new toilet and sink/vanity last year and are "hiding" the tub/shower with a curtain. It is fully functional, but is old and disgusting. There is a tub surround in place that appears to be several pieces (3 I believe).
we want the tub and tub surround removed and replaced with a nice big shower with door(s) (the width of the current tub we want to fill with shower). we are flexible regarding the finish ie; tiles or one piece unit - that will probably be determined by price. this is not a fancy house and we do not want to put more into the shower than makes sense. the taps would have to be changed also to a new single tap from current 2 tap. we may be able to do the demo also - so maybe a seperate quote for that?
The lower level bathroom is a full 4 piece and was redone a couple years ago.
