I have a toilet and sink in the laundry room in the basement. This has not been fixed for years I just moved in. The floor is raised just where the pluming is. I would need to raise the floor then put in a shower or tub...and move toilet to other side of the wall ..as well as the sink.I would buy new ones. walls and floors are paneling so I would need the room to be made as well as flooring.
The 2nd floor bathroom needs to be gutted to the studs and rebuilt. It is the main bathroom of the house. It currently does not have a vent and we would like one put in. THe home is a 2 1/2 story house in Wolseley. Built around 1913. We are open to designed ideas as the home is old and we understand certain ideas may not be logical given the pipe lay out for the rad that exists as the heating source. We have been trying to reno the house over the years and this is the next
We’re looking to update our bathroom. The tub and surround will need to be replaced. New drywall will be required. Ceiling will need to be painted. Considering installing a fan.
Vanity is new, toilet and floors are in good shape.
The dimensions of the bathroom are:
Length: 90 inches
Width: 58 inches
Height: 95 inches
Thanks for your time!
I need to do some repairs and finish a renovation on my bathroom. I'm not positive on the square footage, my guess would be 30 to 40, its not large. It is a full bath, tub with shower, toilet and vanity. The bathroom was gutted and it has a new vanity, toilet and shower/tub. The person that installed the shower and tub surround messed it up, The tub surround has cracked down the corner and it and needs to be replaced before we get water damage behind it. The floor is an older tile and is not in very good shape so I would like it replaced with new tile and I was looking in to the possibility of putting tile in the shower as well or just getting new surround. The shower has an old window in it. The window needs to come out and either be replaced or just have it taken out and close the hole. There is a beautiful mirror that came with the vanity I would like put up, but right now it has an older medicine cabinet built into the wall, so it needs to be taken out and have the hole dry walled. There is a space for a ceiling fan on the ceiling as well. Lastly the light fixture is on the wall on top of the medicine cabinet and it needs to be moved over a few inches so it is centered with the new vanity, and we have a new light fixture already. And the very last thing we need done it painting the bathroom!
Small bathroom. Looking for contractor to:
- remove tub and replace with shower
- likely change shower head
- add new sink unit
- add new mirror
- new tiles on floor
- add counter that flows from sink unit over toilet
- add new lighting above mirror
Looking to complete any time end of November to end of December
We have an L shaped bathroom currently with original 1977 fixtures and flooring. We are looking for someone to fit a new tub/shower, toilet and sink/vanity unit along with the associated hardware and new exhaust fan.
There is currently a partition wall between the tub and vanity which houses the pipe work and this may need to be moved a bit as I am hoping to fit a slightly longer/deeper tub than the standard 5ft one there at the moment. This aspect will largely depend on cost and whether it is worth the expense.
We can do the finishing tiles and paint/wood work. I am also happy to purchase the fixtures etc so they are ready to do when the contractor is. We are looking to get started early January with a finishing deadline no later than 15th February 2018.
I can provide pictures of the current bathroom or can be available during the day for in person estimates which are probably the best way forward.
The only bathroom in a bungalow built in 1954. The toilet and sink have previously been updated, the tub reglazed, and new tub surround added by previous owner.
Issues:
- The glazing on the tub is coming off
- the caulking on the tub surround (connected to the tub) won't stick anymore and mold is growing on it
- water appears to have gotten behind the tub surround where the caulking is
- moisture appears to be under the floor causing discoloration in the flooring
- when pushing on the tub surround below the faucet, the wall feels like it may be soft
- room has an odor - mold?
- a window exists on the wall of the tub/shower that should be replaced
- the bathroom does not contain an exhaust fan, one should be installed
- the plug in the bathroom doesn't work, so new electrical may need to be run
Bathroom shower and vanity addition:
Upstairs bathroom - replace existing sink with a tiled (ceramic) shower with light, hand held shower and rain head shower large enough for two people. Demo will already be done.
Also, add two sink, granite top vanity to same BR. No existing drain or water -directly underneath is downstair sBR. The spot is right above washer dryer, sink from downstairs bathroom.

Complete remodel. It is a small bathroom but it needs a complete overhaul including installation of an exhaust fan. I will need new vanity (preferably floating for cleaning purposes, new toilet, flooring, tub and shower (not sure if i want tub surround or tile...depends on price). I can buy supplies if it makes it less expensive. I also need this done fairly quickly and soon.
Small bathroom in master bedroom. Bathfitter is coming Feb 13 to replace the shower. Before that I need to have the vanity and sink removed. Following installation of the shower the bathroom has to have drywall fixed, painting and new tile flooring. A contractor named Josh came to assess on Nov. 26. He took measurements and pictures and my e-mail address, and I haven't heard from him since. I am unable to locate his phone number.
I have a 40 year old townhouse condo, wood construction.
Want to replace the tub and tub surround, new vanity and flooring. Basically have what I want picked out, but am open to suggestions. Toilet was replaced a few months ago. The bathroom is small, about 6 x 6 flloor space. Tub is 30 x 60. Looking for a competitive quote.
House was built in 1949. I want to completely gut the bathroom. The bathroom is very small. I recently had a new window put in it but that is it. It needs a new floor and probably sub floor as it is soft in one corner (was like that when I bought the house 6 years ago). The walls are tiled and ugly. The tub surround needs to be replaced and I would like it tiled or replaced with some sort of stone. The toilet needs to go as it is old and the lid is cracked. The bathroom gets mouldy easy especially by the ceiling corners (I think it needs to be fogged). Something is leaking from the bathtub not sure if it is the taps because it has caused a hole into my basement ceiling. My bathroom is small but in desperate need of repair. I can not live with it like this anymore especailly because I beleive the mould is not healty to breath for me or my daughter.
I want the project done fast as I have dealt with other contactors in the past and I know sometimes they go way past the estimated finish date. Although I am not a contractor I deal with them on a regular basis and I am aware there is the right way to do things or quick fixes. I want my bathroom professionally done the right way the first time and in a timely matter. Serious replies only.
Thank you.

Soil Stack Repair
Background: Owner did a cut in to the lower part of the soil stack as part of new plumbing in the basement for a wash tub. A previous plumbing job cut into the upper part of the stack for the kitchen sink waste. The two cuts made the stack less stable. The owner left the support frame in place to support the stack.
Purpose Repair the soil stack to make it more stable and solid.
Scope of work:
• Decide on the required changes. Likely this will consist of replacing the 3” cast iron parts of the stack in the basement with ABS including the drain from the new bathroom tub.
• Provide the materials and perform the required plumbing work.
I have 2 bathroom I want renovated.
I bought an Alure Resilient Flooring that I thought I could install in my bathroom but just haven't had a chance. I would like someone to install it for me and since the toilet will be remove during the floor install, I would like the toilet replace with a dual flush water efficient toilet.
With the second bathroom, I am hoping that I could keep the tub. The existing bathtub in the 2nd bathroom is a jetted tub. The bathroom/tub is very nice but not very practical for our guest who stay in the basement. There is no shower in the basement bathroom. I would like some to install a shower to the existing tub. I am hoping that you could install an oval type shower rod and add a shower to the existing tap.
Note: both bathroom is not very big.
Thanks,
Al
