I need some bad drywall work fixed in my basement reno. The contractor did a bad drywall hanging and another drywaller tried to fix it but he was not doing good work either and not reliable. Would you look at it and give me a quote? I just want it to look reasonable enough to paint.
A 9 x 9 bedroom in an old Crescentwood, Winnipeg house will need drywall hung, taped and mudded. We are stripping out the original plaster/lath on walls and ceiling, having a professional electrician re-wire, and getting spray foam insulation in.
Since there is only one of me I don't want to try to do the drywall single-handed without the proper tools. What would take me several days (and lots of #$%@!) should take a professional like you a few hours. I can do the sanding and all the finishing.
It's a small job, but we want it done right by the right person.
We have drywall already taped and patched going up our stairwell we will need someone to come put 1 or 2 more pieces up, sand, seal, and paint. Most of it is ready for sanding sealing and painting. Please give us some estimates either online or in person .....so when you can come down and see the project please let us know when you can come by phone or email . thanks for your consideration. i can provide pictures of needed.
I'm looking to have drywalling done in my house. I'm currently going through major renovations and would like a professional to do the drywalling portion. At this time the work to be done would be the interior side of all exterior walls, as well as a vaulted ceiling.
Please let me know if you could do the work and I could send you pdf's or dwg's of the house dimensions etc for quote.
I'll need future assistance with plumbing, and replacing exterior doors. Next year I will be doing the exterior of the building as well as landscaping and fence work. It's likely that a good professional relationship will result in future work.
A couple of months ago, I removed a sliding door and enlarged the opening between my kitchen and living room. In the process of doing this, I have to replace about 12 linear feet of drywall.
I am not very proficient in drywalling and sanding, and would like to contract someone to finish the opening for me. Additionally, the old drywall/plaster was 3/4 inch thick, and the new drywall is 1/2" thick. I now have two electrical boxes that need to be reset so that they are flush with the wall.
As my wife runs a family daycare during the weekdays, I would like to have the work done during evenings or weekends to minimize the impact on her home business.
I recently purchased a new dwelling in Royalwoods (Winnipeg South) and require the interior of the 20 X 22 ft. two car garage to be insulated with either R20 or higher insulation, drywalled on two walls including the ceiling. I also would require small carpentry work to be completed on the rear garage steps leading into the dwelling's back door as the steps are loose and require reinforcing/securing the steps to the east wall of the garage interior. I'm not in a rush, but a timeline for completion would be preferable the early spring (April or May) once the snow melts. My wife and I work days, so in the evenings we would be available for the personal attendance of a contractor to view/provide a written estimate of the project.
We have a wall dividing the kitchen and what is currently a spare room. When the house was built in 2004 their was only a 3 foot high divider [ 3 x 6 wide] separating the kitchen and an area designed to be a family room. We would like an estimate to remove the current wall and restore the original 3 foot high dividing wall. We believe the current wall was built upon the original 3 foot divider. Please provide an online estimate to restore the original design .. Thanks
I have been repairing my plaster walls in my home for a number of years, but the cracks keep coming back - year after year. believe that these cracked areas need to be replaced with drywall to get rid of them once and for all. This is not a large job, but one that i would like to have completed as soon as possible.
My home was build i he mid 50s, and i am located in East Fort garry in Winnipeg. I am looking for someone to drop by and to provide a free estimate for the job. I can repair the cracks in the plaster myself; however, they will simply return next year as the plaster in many areas is beyone repair. The cracks appear primarily over doors, but i have one perisistent crack in my livingroom wall that returns every year.
1988 double attached garage has two side walls with fibreglass insulation and covered with wallboard - wallboard needs to be replaced with better grade material. Garage ceiling has drywall that needs replacement in parts and repair elsewhere, as 1 panel fell off and others are drooping between nail/screws.
If you're experienced at fixing someone else's mess, we need to talk. Contractor butchered my home 2 years ago. Two bathrooms require re-taping and Mudding ASAP. A reputable taper who had committed to the job in June took a bigger job during my time frame. I've got guys painting my house now, need the taper! Behind the 8 ball here- I've got Hardwood floors being installed in two weeks time. Been burned too many times. Looking for trustworthy, ethical person to "Make it Right".
I have a 50s home with plaster walls. In some areas, there are reoccuring cracks that i have repaired - but have come back every year. I would like to have these sections of plaster wall replaced with drywall. I am not a drywaller, and so i will need experts to do it. The plaster has been repaired a few times, but the clean wall only remains crack free for a few months. changes i hunidity like we have had contribute to to cracks. I am told the only way to really fix this is to replace those sections of plaster wall with drywall.
In a couple of the areas, i may also need a strip of crown moulding replaced, as the wall cracks have seeped into the crown moulding. I am looking for a reasonable quote.
