Hello John, I hope that you are doing well!
We have a basement that is almost finished, except for a corner. It is just under 400 sf, and we want to finish the flooring. We are considering Luxury vinyl planks (glue or planks), but of course we are open to a professional suggestions. We are in a bit of a hurry, because i am pregnant with the second child, and we need to finish this area in the basement in order to get started with the nursery. (our office upstairs would move to the basement, after we finish the flooring).
Would you be able to visit us and give us an estimate?
We also want to re-do our kitchen, but this is second on the priority list. The basement floor is more urgent. While you come down for an estimate maybe we could discuss our kitchen reno too - that is, if your time allows to do both. (This is just two out of a long list of reno's we have :)
Please let me know what is your earliest app. opening.
Thanks!
J

install dishwasher in kitchen underneath a countertop. there is no existing water/drain pipe that I know of, so there would need to be one installed.
new flooring inside office (not sure about specifics, but some laminate probably) and paint job. as a very rough estimate the room is 4m x 5m
CALL is fine but I work on-call / shift work 24/7 so I may not be able to answer, text or email is probably easier to use.
We are building a new, aprox 1650 sq ft, home. The home is an RTM and we need a basement built, prefer a wood basement, but not a must. Need HVAC / AC run through the basement and attached to the house. Plumbing roughed in basement and attached to home. Septic field and well installed on property.
Other services may be required as well; gravel drive way, garage pad poured, deck posts set, etc. but at this time I'm just looking for the main meat and potatoes for the completing of the home.
Looking for quotes from people at this point and will go on from their. A rough design of the home is completed and a architect rendering will be completed hopefully in the next few weeks.
Thanks for your time
I want to add a carport and a deck on the 1st floor and then build a second storey on top. The present house is 24X24 on a 72X201 lot. The house is built on one side of the lot, so I want to leave the other side as it is for next project. I have a detached garage, so with the carport we'll be able to keep our garage and have bigger second storey. The carport and deck will make the second floor 30X35. I want to build just one bedroom on second floor for now and the remaining can be like a shell or if the budget allowed, I'd finish the project. I need a knowledgeable and honest general contractor to do this for me. Please have a look at the attached pdf file. This is just to give you an idea of how the work would be like.
We have an addition just over 20x20 ft attached to our house built in 1971. It has a concrete crawl space and foundation below it with ducting and plumbing to a bathroom and bedroom in the addition. We would like to add a master suite in the new renovated 2nd story addition. This would include an ensuite bathroom beside the second story main bathroom.
1800 sqft bungalow with basement.
I am owner
WORK REQUIRED
New roof
Windows
Rewire (knob and tube currently)
Finish basement and add bathroom plus bedroom with egress window. In-ground plumbing will be needed for basement bathroom.....and we may need to add sump pump.
Foundation issues may require bracing & filling, and perhaps waterproofing.
New kitchen, flooring, trim etc.....house basically needs gutting.
Numerous permits will need to be completed so we are looking for someone who is close with permitting office.
Cracks in ceiling walls and exterior Some doors no longer lining up or will not open due to shifting, maybe looking at wanting to add a bedroom due to growing boys. Home is in St. James built in the 60's 2 lvl split. Looking for options to stay in the home rather then move since we love our area. Also I wouldn't be a true winnipeger if i didn't ask for a free estimate.
Thank you.
Randy

Hi ,
We are looking for someone to restore our rec room in the basement after an uninsured fresh water flooding. We are looking at:
drywalling ,taping and sanding 3 basement walls approx 60 linear feet with 8 feet height.
drywall part of ceiling over the open air ducts in same room
reinstall portion of suspended ceiling plastic framework and fiberglass tiles
replace part of carpet underlay and re-lay presently rolled back berber carpet
finish trimming basement staircase and reattaching handrailing
Repair is needed to the exterior wall of our house addition. The addition is approximately 30 years old, the original house is about 60 years old. The damaged wall has 3 very large windows which appear to have been leaking for several years, causing the wood in the wall to rot, the interior wall board to disintegrate, etc. We are not sure of the extent of the damage to the support structure of the addition.
4 rooms, stairwell and landing.
Repairs to plaster walls & ceiling & prep for wallpaper.
Hanging approx. 830 sq.ft. wallpaper.
Approx. 130 24"x24" glue up faux tin ceiling tiles.
11 4'x8' glue on panels installed in 2 different rooms.
5' of baseboard and 1/4 round replaced.
50' 1/4 round in bedroom.
Various trim to be installed after wallpapering, panels
and faux tin ceiling tile installation is completed.
We currently are living in a 1930's structured brick home. It's a 1 3/4 home.
There are a few things we need done, but are looking to have our stairs to the second floor reconfigured, which may mean our basements one done as well, before we start on more renos to the second floor and mainfloor and basement.
We would like to be as green as possible, using second hand material, existing material from what we have and look at more of an open concept staircase.
What are we looking for in terms of cost factor? I assume that there would have to be some assessment in terms of structure. I would be happy to have a on line estimate, with the hopes to find a contractor in the area.
I am looking to have my tele-posts adjusted, I am in a newer home (4 yrs old) and the contractor did some adjustments but still need more. There is also a few floor joist that seem to be warped and are pushing up a little bit, not major but you notice it when walking I would like to see about correcting this. There maybe some other work I need done but can discuss this in person as we are in the process of finishing the basement and may need a few other items taken care of.

I was hoping to get a budgetary quote for the follow specs for a equipment test kitchen.
We are building about a 500 sq/ft new test kitchen in our new office in Winnipeg. To do this, we need two walls installed; one will be about 34 ft long and the other will be about 16 ft long. We are also going to need some electrical work done. We will need about 5 - NEMA #6-30 R Plugs, 3 - NEMA 15-50P Plugs, 1 - NEMA L14-30P, 1 - NEMA 5-20R, 5 - 208volt 40 amp 3 phase plugs. Some of the equipment will also need water hook-ups; 4 - 3/8" water connections as well as a 2" dedicated, heat-proof drain. We will also need about 6-10 feet of counter space, cabinets and a sink installed. We are also going to need some flooring (most likely tile).
Some of the specs may change as we get closer to the actual install, but at this time we only need a budgetary quote.
I'm contacting you regarding the replacement of my AC.
Right now I have a small AC that I would like to replace with a bigger one. For me to do so I need to expand the hole through the wall so the new AC would fit and the new sleeve needs to be made and installed.
I already have an AC but I need other work on my exterior wall to be finished. I would need someone to come by and give me an estimate.
We are looking to have a bathroom floor tiled. The dimensions are 58"x 60" less 26" x 21" vanity.
-install Schluter Ditra crack isolation membrane over existing underlay with thin set mortar
-install 120 volt Warmwire electric radiant heat

-install Latilevel self leveling mortar over radiant heat
-install ceramic floor tile complete with cut tile baseboard and Schluter profile edging
-grout tile and baseboard with Prism grout
-install transition strip at doorway
Renovations to a large top floor of Wolseley home. Possibility of small half-bath remodel also. Needs new walls, windows, flooring etc (practically gutting the area!). If all goes well with the contractor, there is the possibility of future work in our basement! Let us know if you are interested!
