Hello,
We want to install an exhaust fan in our bathroom. It has never been conditioned with one, so this will include everything from making the hole in the ceiling, wiring, etc.
Bathroom is small and located in our second story.
While we're at it, we may also request a quote on the remodeling of the bathroom as a whole: replacing shower, tub, maybe sink, etc., we can go as far as our budget allow us. We are not looking for anything luxurious since we will be leaving the house in about 1 year, so we want to keep this down to a functional level.
Thank you!
Small corridor style bathroom. Not looking to replace sink or toilet, but the inset tub needs work. Walls surrounding tub are of small tile (1950s!) and there's obvious signs of water damage that require them to be replaced. The walls around the remainder of the bathroom are in the same tile and would need to be redone as well. The floor, a vinyl tile, needs to be replaced. The fan needs to be replaced. A small cupboard that adheres to the wall & floor will need replacing. The mirror & inset cabinet require replacing.
I have a 1 1/2 story home built in 1941. I would like to renovate the upstair which is currently a loft bedroom with a walk in closet. I need the hardwod floors repaired, sanded and refinished, a secondary closet removed, a bathroom created, with large shower, which may be custom done with tile, vanity and toilet, paint all rooms [existing loft bedroom, walk in closet and newly created bathroom], gas fireplace installed, no curret gas line running upstairs, shelf for flat screen tv & mounted.
I have a 1 1/2 story house which is 73 years old that I would like to add a 3 pc upstairs as well as update the mainfloor bathroom.
There is no current plumbing upstairs and there would have to be some reconstruction of walls to accomodate a bathroom.
The main floor bathroom is quite small but would require replacing all the fixtures as well as a new floor, there may be some reconfiguration but no new design as yet.
I am looking for someone to design, cost and complete the project.
Bathroom-very small 52" x 103",existing shower removed, house 15 yrs old,we want to install a tile shower along the short wall, tile the floor, needs some drywall and patch up work, we will install the vanity, and accessories.
Kitchen-ideas for maximizing space, adjusting or redoing the cabinets, possibly moving microwave to over the stove model, currently oak cabinets, will need new counter top, considering granite/marble.Possible building in a small island/eating area with matching counter tops as well.
Hi,
We have recently purchased an older home and find that we must enlarge one of the bedrooms on the main floor. We would appreciate a reply to make arrangements for someone to come and see the job and give us a quote.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Thank you,
Sharon
Bedroom - currently used as a mudroom with laundry hook ups, new windows and walls and installation heating has been put in properly. I would like to know how to re-hook the washer and dryer in a different place stackable. And build a closet around them to keep them out of site out of mind.
Also I would like to put an insulated wall with door up in the mudroom to make a bedroom as well as having a hall way for the washer and dryer closet.
Also I would like a fence put up in the backyard how much would a 8foot fence per foot cost? To build myself as well as a contractor to build.?
Can anyone help me out with these renos?
We have a classic 1 1/2 story post war time house with two bedrooms upstairs (cut off with coved ceilings) and one bedroom in the main floor. Our problem is that the main floor bedroom is used as the dining room/office/play room and now we need an actual third bedroom. We have seen homes like ours brought up to the full second floor, and would like to find contractors who are experienced in this area to quote us on completing this project.
I'm looking for someone to build entertainment unit in an existing niche in my great room.

Looking for someone available to start in beginning of July. Please contact me if interested.
We are looking at a specific house that is just perfect for us but it does not have a master bedroom. One of the bedrooms does not have a closet and the other one has a very small oddly shaped closet. We are looking to find an estimate to add an addition onto the back of the house to see if it is worth the purchase.
Looking for at least a 10 x 10 room not including a large closet. There is a decent amount of yard to work with but we are not worried about losing some more.
We are hoping to find someone who can maybe help with the layout of the house as well.

Our house was built in 1945. We have a Chimney that is not functional in the middle of the house. We would like to remove it. The Chimney does not have a bottom, it seems to just be floating in the middle of our house. Our house is also not level, it seems to slope towards the Chimney. We are not sure how much fixing all of this will cost and even if it can get done. We do not have a basement, just a crawl space. An estimate of doing all of this work would be greatly appreciated.
I have a regular boring closet at my back door. I want to remove part of a wall to open it up, have a bench built with storage for shoes, and also a storage cubby on the side for hats/mitts. The closet is about 6' wide, 3 ' deep.
Following is a list of items from a quote that we all ready received but felt was too high.
- Remove left side return wall of front hall closet
- Remove right return & full side wall of front hall closet
o Dependant on wall corner not being load bearing, to be determine upon attic inspection
- Construct 4 – 6” drop ceiling over closet area for pot light installation
- Supply & install 2 led potlights with switch in drop ceiling over closet
- Patch as necessary ready for prime & paint by owner
- Construct & install seat with open storage underneath with adjustable shelving in closet area
o Oak veneer, staining and varnishing by owner
o Top seat cushions by owner
- Supply & install oak backing board & owner’s coat hooks on wall (2 rows)
- Construct & install open shelving over seat area close to ceiling
- Move doorbell to left side back hallway
- Cold air return grill in right side of seat base
- Construct & install paint grade cubby in corner as per Pinterest picture (painting by owner)
Certain items we are definitely flexible on like the oak and the pot lights and we are willing to do some of the work ourselves.
Thank you.
Pictures show the work that needs to be cleaned up and finished off due to our stains replacement.

I am looking for a contractor or contractors to submit an estimate(s) for work on a commercial building. I am recommending the following renovation be undertaken by the store owner. Please submit an estimate on the whole or part of the job you are able to complete.
I would like to renovate the exterior of the store. I have two ideas. One idea is to simply paint the exterior. I think the exterior is currently stucco. This would update the store. My second idea is to convert the exterior into an old English style cottage with wood. I have a sketch of what I would like to see done.
The interior is currently carpet on the floor. I would like to tear out the carpet and install laminate or hardwood. I understand the costs for materials vary greatly for this so an estimate for labour is most important for both of those products.
The store is 30 ft. x 60 ft. The walls are currently wooden panels with wood boards. The panels are about 5 ft. high. Above that is drywall. I have two ideas for this. One is simply paint the walls and ceiling a new colour. The ceiling is suspended panels currently. The walls are 8 ft. high. The second idea is to continue with the English cottage style and install large wooden beams on the ceiling and wood on the walls.
If you would like to see the store I could arrange a time to meet.
I understand this is a large job and diverse skills are needed. If you are only able to complete part of the job, please submit that part. Any information is helpful. If I have missed any details that are necessary please email me.
Thank you,
Nick
