Hi,
Our house has two separate foundations the original house part is what we want done ... aprox. 600 sq ft. We need 3 retaining walls built and a bulkhead removed. The basement floor slab will need to be redone as well as the weeping tile and a sump pump put in. We cannot lift the house so this work will have to be done inside. The power box will have to be moved as well and we will also be doing some plumbing repairs as well. We are putting in a new furnace and water tank. We would prefer a ICF walls instead of wooden walls. The other foundation under the addition does not have to be done. I would like only serious quotes as we would like this work done this summer.
Thank You
Ron and Jackie
I have an older story and a half home (1940s) & I would like to improve the exterior.
The house is approx 1190 sq ft and finished in pale green stucco.
The insulation in the exterior walls has either fallen or is next to non-existant.
Rather than drill holes in all of the walls I would like to insulate the exterior of the house and then finish it with siding in a dark color (brown/gray)
Windows in the house have been updated but will likely need to be framed out due to increasing the outer shell of the house.
Looking for quotes.
Both front and back doors have had slight shifting over the last couple of years but now it is increasingly difficult to open or close the doors as well as locking the door.
I bought the house in 2004, I was told it was build in the 70's originally. I am looking for a quality job to be done to prevent further work. It is a side by side house with neighbors on both sides.
I will need an estimate of how much this will cost to fix this since I will probably have to talk to the bank for payment.
Please leave a message at phone number or email if it is visible. I work shift work during the evenings and sleep during the day. I will contact you back if interested.
We discovered wet carpet in an upstairs bedroom and it looks like some mold is developing against an outside wall. We need help finding and fixing the source of the problem, and then repairing the wall.
We anticipate having to replace the carpet - that's okay, it's old and on the replacement list anyway. We have help for that, but if we replace the carpet, it's the right time to replace the existing trim with a new fresh trim throughout the upstairs. We will need help to put new trim throughout the upstairs.
Bottom line:
* find and fix leak causing wet wall
* repair for drywall and any insulation, etc
* replacement of trim throughout the upstairs of house.
Thanks

I'm looking to finish my basement, in order for it to be in a state where I can rent out the spare basement bedrooms to students. The project would include the construction of a bathroom, a kitchenette, and 2 bedrooms. The basement is approximately 880 sq. ft. in size. One egress window for each bedroom would have to be installed. I would like to soundproof the ceiling and install solid doors for the rooms.
We have just had a gas fireplace installed and are looking to finish off the rest of the wall in stone and bookcases. The wall is 11'7" x 8'. We would want floor to ceiling bookcases 30" wide on the outside flanks of the wall and stone covering the rest of the area around the fireplace. We are wondering what the cost might be?
Hello there,
I have a 5 unit building in St. Boniface.
There was an addition to the house probably 20-30 years ago at the back. The addition has started to dislodge from the building. Just wondering what my options would be in repairing this? Would gladly appreciate your advice and estimates.
Thanks,
Komal
My 900 sqft bungalow's (the house was raised about 14 years ago and has 8 feet tall basement with drop ceiling and carpet) floor is sagging to the middle and very bouncy/squeaky when walk. The lowest point in the middle is an inch lower than the side/ wall side. The basement has drop ceiling and, i was able to remove some ceiling tile to checked in a small area of the floor joist. Seems there is no water damage. However that some area joist has filling but joist next to it has a gap that was not filled. My priority is t to make the floor even and make more strong sturdy. As I am also planning to add bedroom in the basement. Wondering if adding a bedroom with the same time while fixing the joists. Looking forward to have estimates and detailed description to fix this.
Attached some of the joists photo showing the filling and gap.
Hi,
I intent to buy a house that would require following renovations as soon as we move in.
1. Old carpets needed to be ripped off and have new flooring. Carpets in three bedrooms. Flooring for a small hallway between the three rooms, stairs and living room.
2. Closet/closet doors needed to be installed in all the rooms.
3. Kitchen cabinets.
4. Flooring for basement, not sure carpet or other options.
The above are something that we see and we are not the experts.
What we want is an expert to come in to the house, check to see what things require renovation and provide us with an estimate. We would really appreciate that.
Thanks!
I had a concrete topping applied to my subfloor on my entire main floor in a bungalow. It was done incorrectly and I need it to be removed, approximately 1720 square feet. Topping is 3/8 inch thick, and there is wire lathing nail down to the subfloor. Subfloor will need to be replaced, wanting 5/8ths tongue and groove plywood to be installed. Staircare stringers have to be removed and concrete slab caps need to be take off stairs. Stair system may requrie complete removal and then new stair case will be required. Removal of concrete shower pan and bathroom wall and new concrete board to be put up and taped, area is 9 feet high, four feet wide, ten feet long. Removal of tub surround (no tub) just wood frame and construction of new surround.

Hello, I would like to convert my 3/4 basement into a full basement and extend it approximately 12 ft. into my backyard. I also have a poorly designed addition coming off my kitchen that measures roughly 11ft x 12ft that needs to be demolished. The kitchen will need to be extended 12ft to accommodate the length of the new foundation. In the new extended kitchen i will require new flooring, cabinets and counter-tops. I would also like a small pantry built within the kitchen measuring 4ft wide by 5ft tall.
In addition to this, I would require a floor and ceiling built in the basement as well as an inline backwater valve and sump pit installed. I would also like one bedroom built in the basement area.
I was wondering if you would be able to provide for me a quote on these renovations. I assume that it may require you to visit the job site to assess the current structure and location. If so, I have a fairly flexible schedule and either myself or my boyfriend will be able to assist with this.
Sincerely,
Madelaine
Hi,
We have a 107 year old stone foundation house in the west end are of Winnipeg.
We have noticed shifting in the house, walls cracking, doors getting sticky when closing and floors becoming uneven.
Our kitchen add-on has shifted and the floor has become uneven. Underneath the kitchen is a crawlspace. Would probably need encapsulation + insulation + new smart jacks installed to level above kitchen.
One of our beams have split.
In the basement we have water in the spring when the snow melts as well as water when it rains. Not a lot, but it does get damp.
Advice / estimates would be greatly appreciated!
