20*12 addition. Work required is foundation, framing (inside has 3 rooms), tie roof into existing roof, external finished up to house wrap. No shingling, siding, insulation, drywalling or electrical required. Also, we already have external door and windows. Already have city approved architectural drawings, which I have attached to this post. There is some minor changes required to existing structure (described on page 2 of attached document). Also to note is on page 2 of the attached plan, it mentions relocating a roof vent...this is not required as it doesn't actually vent anything (may need removed).
I had piles placed in front of house as was sinking. Previous year had huge horizontal crack in basement was patched and coated and steel I- beams installed to stop cracking. Now the other side where garage us attached is sinking. Not sure exactly what to do. Also worried about back side going next. Trying to find out what costs I am looking at to stop the problem.
Current house is approximately 950 sq ft with partial basement. Want to lift the house and replace the basement. While replacing basement, looking to add approximately 12 feet to the front. Per the City we can move 5ft without additional approval so can either move partially back or apply for variance.
Extensive renos to the interior of the existing to move livingroom, master bedroom, second bedroom, bathroom, renovate / expand kitchen also being considered. Initial outlines for layout based on expanding or working within current footprint are available.
Depending on cost and discussion also considering option of simply replacing existing house with a package house of slightly larger footprint.
At the moment looking for estimates to assist with determining budget and starting to plan the renos.
We need the foundation looked at as there is water coming through cracks when it rains. We also have a house that was a probable grow op by previous owners and there is mould in the basement and now it has worked itself upstairs. W e have tried to clean it but it keeps coming back. Our house is in South Winnipeg and is about 960 sq. ft. and has a full basement. We need to know the cost to fix or replace. There have been health issues with family members since we moved in 3 years ago. The house is about 54 years old. Before we moved in the house was renovated and we believe the foundation issues were covered up and the house completely painted to cover up the previous condition of the house. The ceiling is warped and continues too get worst.

I bought a house last year, knowing it needed some TLC, but the more I look the more I see things that need fixing.... My roof is leaking in a couple spots. Foundation may need some work. The back addition (our kitchen) needs to be lifted, or it may be a bigger foundation issue. A couple of the window frames need TLC on the outside. I need a custom storm door, as the wooden storm door that came with the house is rotting, may need new weeping tiles, definitely need a sump pump pit as there isn't one and after the crazy rain over the weekend my old basement is full of water.... The house was built in 1907 and its a full basement but only about 5' high. I'd like to get a few estimates before I proceed so please contact me!
We have a 15 year old house in south St. Vital, half of the main floor has light oak hardwood floors, the rest is carpeted. We would like to remove the carpet and add hardwood to the rest of the main floor (approx. 550 sq feet). The problem we are encountering is the width of our current floors is 2 and 1/4 inches and the thickness is 5/16 of an inch. All the retailers we have looked at only carry 31/2 inch wide boards. We would also like to strip the stain from our current floors and stain all of it a darker colour.
Is there anyone who can help us?
I wanted an estimate for installing egress window well into existing house foundation in November. I am in the process of purchasing a 1956 Bungalow house. Move in date is November 1st. I wanted to know if this project can be down in November in Winnipeg? Or should it wait till the summer?

We would like to install a stackable 24" washer dryer unit in a main floor closet.
I am finding it difficult to go stairs and would like to have a main floor laundry. We would like to find a workable solution to make this happen.
We need someone to help us find a way that would be most suitable to a contractor to install and not detract from potential resale of the home when ever that would happen.
It would probably involve enlarging/creating a closet. From the bedroom closet, on the other side of the wall, to a bathroom closet, where the plumbing is.
We were considering a hall closet, but were told as much as, 'it was on the wrong side of the house' as it would be difficult to install.
We found a Whirlpool set which we were happy with, it is called a "True Ventless Heat Pump Compact Dryer".
We would like to know if it is possible to bring a washer dryer to the main floor, or will we need to make alternate arrangements in order to have a main floor laundry. I am hoping we will not have to move in order to have a main floor laundry.
Any help we can get in this would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Carolyn
We need large brackets near the entrance to our house to stop vibrations from a store across the street. We also have wrought iron at the top of our front stairs which needs bracing opposite the brackets near the entrance to our house. Would this stop the vibrations, or is there any other solution for this problem?
Damage was done to the drywall in a basement bedroom and office in a home in Island Lakes. The bottom three feet or so of drywall has been removed, and the area thoroughly (professionally) dried. The project is to re-install the drywall that was removed, and paint to match existing walls. In addition, the office had carpeting that will need to be re-installed. The carpet can just be laid over the existing floor.
Can we please request a quote for the following project required in the interior of our building:
-Minor drywall repairs & taping to a 25'L x 12'W room
-Remove a 25'L interior wall
-Punch a hold through an existing adjacent wall & install a door
-Minor repairs throughout the 3 storey building
-We believe the above requires a drywaller and a carpenter
