new countertops - i have prices on sile stone (black galaxy)installed for approx 80.00/sq foot, new flooring, changing single sink to double sink which means adding or modifying my current cabinets which i plan on keeping. also possibly wanting to take down a wall and open up kitchen to living room area.
We are considering a kitchen reno in our 8 year old home (Kensington Homes - Manchester floor plan). Ideally we would like to expand the kitchen (into the existing dining room/living room combo) and add an island/penisula. If possible we would like to re-use our existing cabinetry (Kitchen Craft - Maple) and add only what is necessary for expansion, however new flooring and counter tops are required. Current kitchen sq ft is roughly 100 (+ 87 sq ft for dinnette).
I need a bank of cupboards taken down from the ceiling to open up the kitchen and put them up on another wall. We will need a new set of cupboards (I think the new cupboards for the floor should be shorter for walking space) for under the ones were moving and a new countertop. We also want a piece of a wall taken down to open it right up in which the doorbell and thermostat would also have to be reassigned.
Thank you
I need counter tops replaced and splash wall tiles around sink & stove area. New vinyl flooring in kitchen, which would have to be continued down three steps into back hallway and down flight of stairs to the basement. Ceiling & walls repainted, and fridge, stove & dishwasher installed, and old ones removed. (I would purchase appliances separately, but need advice about the type that would fit). The part of the counter surrounding the dishwasher has been water damaged, and the wood here would need to be replaced, but rest of existing cupboards & counters are in good shape & can stay. Looking for someone who can start soon.
Full gut and redo. We have selected Ikea cabinets for the project, granite countertops and glue down plank vinyl flooring. Wiring for additional plugs, under cabinet and ceiling pot lights, dishwasher and possibly replace panel (already two phase 100 amp but no room?). Plumbing for install of instant hot water, garbage disposal, dishwasher and possible re-pipe gas for 36" range. Create pantry solution from existing and remove and install rear entry and storm door.
I need to do some kitchen renovations. I have a non-functional wall oven to remove, a cupboard that would need to be modified. I would like to purchase a stove and an over the stove top microwave. I would need my counter top stove removed and a new counter top installed. I am looking to do this as economically as possible.
I require all of the kitchen cabinets, drawers, counter tops removed and redone. Half the kitchen wall opened up and redone. The home had a old mouse infestation (house since has been fumigated and thoroughly sanitized) and damaged areas need to be removed and replaced. Also would like additional cupboards and a pantry installed. I require 2 estimates. One for the work mentioned above and a second for the additions.
St. James home in Winnipeg. 9 x 12 kitchen / 12 x 12 dining room - needs a wall removed between the two rooms, which is a weight bearing wall - there is a heating duct in the wall. A second wall needs to be partially removed. New drywall for dining room.
New cabinets, sink, lighting, flooring, (may try to match hardwood in the dining room to make same flooring in larger room.) Window may have to be reframed to replace, no outside finishing (stucco) required. No new ceiling, but patching where wall (s) removed.
We are members of Direct Buy, so have access to wholesale cost on cabinets etc., but would need help with planning.
New microwave to be installed above stove, req. electrical plug installation, and moving existing stove plug. Addition of electrical outlets as required. Sink is getting moved about 3 feet, installing a double sink. New dishwasher installed, will move from existing location.
I would like to replace my old kitchen cabinets and countertop, preferably with Ikea. As part of that a hood vent and built-in dishwasher would also need to be replaced as well as a few feet of plumbing. The layout is an 11.5 ft single-row kitchen in a small condo that I own.
I would also like to replace the existing vinyl floor in the room and adjoining hallway (approx 11x14 ft) and perhaps add some additional shelving.
The project timeline is flexible, however I would prefer to get the materials for the project ordered sooner than later. I have some preliminary plans but would be open to suggestions and would appreciate project management assistance.
Home built in 1966, cabinets likely from then. Dining room/kitchen attached. Very large space. Would like new cabinets, new flooring for entire room (right now there is carpet in dining section) and new sink and countertop. The kitchen itself is small for the size of the room available but would be happy to keep the same and just replace the old cabinets.

Our kitchen is small, I will not only need a full renovation done but also a plan on the best layout for the kitchen.
My husband and I live in the St. James area in an older home of the 1950's, this kitchen has never been remodelled to our knowledge.
We will need cabinets, ceiling and wall repair due to cracks in the plaster, overall painting, dishwasher install along with the floor redone with tiles.
We are looking for estimates to get this job done.
Hi,
We have just purchased new kitchen cabinets (maple) for our kitchen and will also require a new countertop. We have considered installing it all ourselves but would prefer a reputable contractor to do the work.
It is a ' U ' shaped kitchen about 4ft on each side and approx 10 feet along the back. It is not particularly a large kitchen.
The house was built in the early 60's.
My project is fairly simple. My house has a pretty standard floor plan from 1912. Living room beside the kitchen with a full wall in between. I want about six feet of the wall taken out and a bar counter with cabinets underneath it put in. Some pot lighting would go above the counter. I have somebody to take care of custom building the cabinets and counter. I need somebody to take out the wall properly, do any drywalling that needs to be done, and take care of the electrical. The complication is that I am 95% sure it's a load bearing wall. If necessary I'm somewhat flexible on how much of the wall is taken out, or having a post in the middle to support the wall.
Initially I'd like an online estimate and references (if you have none on this site), and then we can move on to a detailed inspection and quote.
We are looking to renovate our kitchen which appears to have been last completed in the 50's! It is not a large area but the cabinets need to be replaced, we would like to have an island in the centre of the kitchen which would contain the sink eliminating the sink from the outside wall so that we could install a sliding glass door.
The kitchen is very small (10' X 12') with old cabinets (Kitchen Craft cabinets from the '70's? Really light beige with the wood trim - awful). We would like new cabinets, new countertops and new flooring (we already have hardwood flooring leftover from when the previous owners did hardwood flooring throughout the rest of the house). This could be used, or maybe we would want to do granite or different flooring. We need to figure out a way to work with this very small kitchen and make it look a lot nicer. We're thinking mocha wood with stainless steel fixtures, and perhaps some smoked glass?
A thirty year old kitchen needs to be brought into this century, from top to bottom. an open family room is adjacent on one side and a wall separates a dining room on the other. Both these area could be brought into the new picture. Looking for a creative designer/renovation team that can deliver our needs in an active cooking/baking/eating/conversation centre.
This is a kitchen renovation.
Remove old cabinets and replace with newer ones. Tear down a wall to open the kitchen to the living room. Replace laminate counter top with a granite one. Build an island with a granite counter top and it will have outlets, a dishwasher and storage (cabinets).
We are looking for estimates for a contractor to come in and do some work for our Kitchen renovation.
