We need our kitchen floor replaced, new countertops, and are not sure what to do about the cupboards, refinish, replace, or just replace cupboard doors.
We may want to include a hallway and bedroom carpet to be replaced as well, depending on cost of first job.
We are willing to go out and purchase materials etc.
We have Univ. students at home so working any day of the week is fine.

I am looking for free estimates to have my very small galley style, eat-in kitchen renovated, as well as having laminate flooring installed throughout the entire main floor in my house.
My kitchen is ~8.5’ w x 13.75’ L...and I welcome ideas for redesign to maximize space and storage. Some features I’m interested in include white, glass door cupboards with LED lighting, granite countertop(?), pot lights in the ceiling, a hood fan that exhausts outside(?), reflective glass backsplash and possibly new appliances.
My house is approximately 800’ with existing carpet in the living room and in 2 of the bedrooms that would require removal along with all debris.
I am looking for the best ideas to modernize and maximize the space in my kitchen, at a fair, honest price, using quality materials and workmanship. Cost will be the deciding factor as to whether I proceed with the renovation.
Serious interest only please! Timelines for start and completion should be included in your response. Contractors should be experienced, licensed, and insured. Work to include removal and clean up of all debris.
I look forward to receiving estimates and welcome pictures from similar style projects.

Currently have a 12'3" x 8'5" approximately 30 year old kitchen that needs a fresh look. We are looking at installing new cabinets, new counter tops and knocking down a wall to make it open kitchen. The kitchen currently is enclosed with three walls. One of the walls contains cabinets, fridge and microwave. It is the original wall of the house. The wall that has the tap and the dishwasher + over head cabinets divides the kitchen from a 2nd living room. There is a half sized wall that basically has the stove and it sort of divides the kitchen and the main living room.
The counters are continuous and go all around and form a small joint island.
We were hoping to remove top half of one of the walls. (most likely wall to the 2nd living room), seperate the island so as to increase the size of kitchen.
For the bathroom we want to remove the entire bathtub and replace it with a stand in shower.
Needed to get a contractors view on how this would be done and best way to do it
I am wanting to remodel my kitchen. I plan on keeping existing cupboards, but extending them to the ceiling, replacing doors, replacing counter tops and creating an island where there is currently a wall (very likely load bearing). The floor will also need to be replaced, which runs down the stairs and into the basement. I would love to hear some quotes of what this might cost.
Our 30 something year old kitchen in the condo is in need of attention. The original cupboards are falling apart, the top cupboards are sagging, the sink area has rotting places. We need an economical fix for the kitchen. We are willing to do this renovation in stages - replace a portion now and then do the remainder later. The present kitchen cabinets are L shaped, along two of the walls. There is about 8ft of cabinets on one side and 6 ft on the adjoining wall. The sink is in the 6ft length. I am willing to purchase discontinued or pre-made cabinets. Presently there is a built-in dishwasher next to the sink which I will need to replace. The kitchen can be viewed upon apointment.
Are you handy and knowledgeable in Cabinets making? I am looking to hire someone with carpentry experience to finish my kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen cabinets have been installed but require finishing touch ups to complete the kitchen (i.e.: mouldings, kitchen backslash (small area), shelvings, etc). You may also require to build a few cupboards for the bathrooms. If you're an experienced Carpenter, this job can be done maybe in a week, so that you can move on to your next project. It will be a great transition job to earn some extra cash (up to $2,000). You will need to supply your own tools and materials to complete the job.
This ads is intended for people with carpentry skills and each jobs are paid in cash upon completion. If you are interested, please reply by email for more details.
Adding crown moulding and under cupboard lights. Changing current Valance. Painting cupboards Antique White with new hardware and soft closure. New counter top and the addition of 2 new uppers and lower cabinets. Installation of above range Microwave. Re-locating dishwasher closer to sink and new sink and faucets.
We have a small older kitchen with an awkward layout, no built in dishwasher, limited counter space, inaccessible lower corner cabinets, poor appliance placement, and two bay windows and two doorways to work around. There is a closet we want upgraded to a pantry and broom/cleaning supply storage. The upper cabinets and crown moulding are fine, but the lowers are horrible and we want banks of drawers. We need a peninsula or island, possibly with space for stools so we can eat in the kitchen.
I would like to expand my kitchen view by removing a wall. I am not sure if it is a load bearing wall or not as well. It is a short wall along the dinning room side, about 8ft in length, it has a light switch on it and a plug on the wall. Any information would be great, if any one does free estimates that would be great as well thank you.

Looking to turn my kitchen/living room into an open concept. This is a condo unit. I am open to any suggestions. Basically all I ask is that the wall between the kitchen and the living be removed. Give more of an updated look to the living space (walls painted white, new fridge, stove etc.). Would like more cabinet space for the kitchen as well if possible. A place to put a dish washing machine would be a bonus. I'm willing to extend the kitchen into the living room more if need be.
home 1960, hard wood floors, I would like to open up a 7 foot opening on a load barring wall seperating the kitchen and rec room. I would prefer to make the height off the wall just above the electrical outlet which is about half way up. Also would require a counter top to be installed for the eat in kitchen, bar style height.
quality and price are my main concerns.
I've have a had one quote of 2100 taxes in.
I would like to install a small basic kitchenette in my basement for renters use... looking to do it for as little $$ as possible but still easy on the eyes. The basement has a 3 piece bath, laundry and windows but I have no idea about plumbing and what is involved venting a kitchen, I currently have two university students living down there.
If possible try to keep energy efficiency in mind. If we could purchase from home depot tenants are employed there and might be able to snag discount.
I would want a small oven with stove top, sink and some shelving, some counter space, and a small fridge would be bonus. I know in the states they sell units that have it all but can't seem to find any in Canada. The space is entirely carpeted so we might need to consider small flooring change or coverage.
My boyfriend is a young laborer who is laid off for the winter and would be willing to assist in any willing capacity, he just needs guidance, very hard worker takes direction easily.
My wife is tired of doing dishes and we need the following work done ASAP:
- Installation of New Dishwasher - plumbing & electrial hook-ups present.
- Installation of new kitchen sink
- Installation of new kitchen faucet
- Disconnect and Remove existing garburator
I have most parts including dishwasher, sink, faucet, etc,
Will only hire licenced and insured tradesman.
Looking for a partial kitchen reno. Taking out one bank of cabinets in order to install a new gas range instead of cooktop and oven. Involves some new cupboards and new counter top. I really want this done during February and march because I could order my appliances now to take advantage of sales.
Live in Lindenwoods in a bungalow condo.
We just purchased a home, I need an estimate to present to the bank with our offer to purchase (on or before Tuesday Feb 8). Work would then be completed within 120 days of April 1st. We would like new cupboard doors (approximately 15), new counter top (laminate), tiles behind the counterspace, new fridge, stove and portable dishwasher. Budget $5000
We would also like an estimate for a deck (to be completed in the future/separate budget).
We want to remove the wall separating the kitchen and living room in order to have an open kitchen-dining room-living room. We do not know if the wall is important or not for the structure of the house. There is no second floor above the kitchen.
Electrical outlets and light switch would need to be moved to other walls.
House was built in 1961.
We want to do this job in the next months, but also want to remodel kitchen next summer.
House is about 30 years old. Have already replaced counter tops and put tile down in kitchen. Their are 9 large cabinet doors and 4 half size above fridge area and stove. 7 drawers. Also want to change drawer handles. I am not a handy person but willing to give a hand on the job if needed. The cabinets are real wood but over the years thev'e aged from wear and tear.
