We would like to remove the brickwork on our house and replace it with stucco. We are picky about matching the perfect color. Adding the "column effect" to the stucco work interests us. We are interested in replacing some or all of our windows, and we might want to add a window too (large wall, not enough natural light). Soffits and fascia are a possibility, but not a deal-breaker. Prefer one company to do all work and be accessibile, but will work with one company that has close ties to another to finish some jobs. Would like to meet with someone to review our ideas, create a budget and timeline.
Hello,
I am upgrading the exterior of my house this summer with cultured stone and stucco.
Currently, I have wooden shutters around (and beneath) my windows, surrounded by stucco which is not a stipple pattern, but instead has swirls in it.
My goal is to remove the wooden trim and shutters around the windows, and re-stucco one side of my house. I'd also like to paint the stucco.
A few things:
a) can you please provide me with a rough estimate of your stucco material + labour cost per square foot?
b) is it possible to apply stucco on top of existing stucco? If so, is there anything I would need to do to prepare the area prior to the application of new stucco?
c) Is it possible to have pre-tinted/colored stucco before applying it? If so, how much do you charge for that per square foot?
d) my house is a bungalow with a straight roof line (no peaks)
e) the area I would like stuccoed is approx 10' x 8'
Thank you!
We are in the second year of our renovation. We are requiring a contractor to apply new stucco to the second floor of the house along the front, and to a ground floor addition in the back and then to repair all existing cracks, spalling, holes, etc on the existing 45 yr old stucco. The stucco is approx. 45 yrs old. There are multiple repair areas. We are then going to change the stucco colour by painting the entire exterior of the house.
Require complete exterior work. I am looking at 3 options:
1. Paint
2. stucco over the wood panelling that is ther now.
3. use a product like easy rock
4 use a combination of the above with the front of the house being the priority.
The house will also require new fasica and soffits and eavesdrops
Please contact me ASAP as I would like to make a descision soon and have the work completed early spring.
Hi there, I have a small job in my home I would like a quote on. I have some cracking and chips on plaster in the hallway of my 1947 home and bedroom. I would like the plaster to be restored as close as possible to it's original state. Some small chunks are missing from corners that would have to be squared off that run anywhere between 1cm to 20cm. Could you please contact me at your convenience to repair these areas? The paint has already been scrapped from the surface.
Thanks in advance.
Need a free quote on cost to do the following:
1. Replace rotten wood in garage and window frames around the house.
2. Repair broken stucco in garage.
3. Repair cracked stucco around the house.
4. Repair cracked cement at base of walls around the house.
5. Re-stucco or re-coat stucco in garage and around the house.
Hi, I have an 800 sq. ft. house in W..Kildonan area. A small box of a house with white siding on it.
I don't think there is any insulation as there is ice/snow on the inside corners of the N.W and N.E walls. All other exterior walls are very very cold to the touch. So I would love an estimate to have that pink or green insulation sheets put up and stuccoed. I'm a novice at all this insulation stuff as I spent most of my adult life on the west coast. All you need there is an umbrella!! So I really need some honest, yes, honest advice from some professionals. I look forward to hearing from anyone.
Please help,
Shirley
I am looking for Stucco Repair contractors to look at my house and advise on how to repair the exterior. The popcorn stucco on my house is falling off as it was applied over on top of the original painted stucco. I would like the stucco that is falling off to come off completely and the original stucco to be left or repaired as recommended, and then possibly new stucco or other recommended product to be applied to the exterior to give the house a finished look. I do not know how the popcorn stucco was originally applied or what the original stucco is painted with. I am concern how new stucco or other product will stick to the paint on the original stucco. I would also want to make sure that any preparation does not cause any damage (like soap getting into the walls, etc.)
We have a home built in 1978 and a garage built in 1998 that both need stucco repair. We are not looking to have this done until the spring (2010) but would like to line up the work now,
We also would like to built a wood fence 5ft. high in the spring on a pie lot 200x70 this again would be contracted for the spring of 2010.
This is a brand new home. The scratch coat is already on. I want a two tone stucco, Medium grey on whole of house and dark grey on pilars. I need 3 pilars to be made. One on each side of the house and one on the other side of the door. I also want a pop out under each of the 3 front windows. The stucco I require is the one that most new homes have, not popcorn, one that looks to be spread on. If you understand what I want please come to give me an estimate. I want it done asap. 132 royal ave

We have a 25 years old, 2 storey house with attach single garage. The front has a combination of wood siding/bricks. We are looking into the possibility (and cost) of replacing the siding with stucco and/or removing the bricks also and having the whole house re-stucco. The remaining 3 sides of the house is stucco.
Exterior stucco was damaged during window replacement Wednesday (June 17th). Two areas, fist sized, are exposed on either side of the north window frame corners. Unsure of age of stucco but it is at least 15 years old. Depending on estimated costs of repair I would be looking to book on-site quotes sometime over the next few months.
This is a condominium. Patch must match and bind with existing stucco.
South wall of the bungalow has one larger (approx 18" x 4") hole from range exhaust & several small holes from hose hangers & trellis. Parging has broken off around dryer vent. Also interested in painting 3 stucco walls of the house (approx 1000 sq ft?) and garage (approx 700 sq ft?). sorry, but I'm poor at guesstimating surface areas.
We had a 2 story add on attached to the back of our home. It had to be completely removed and now we are left with a section of unstuccoed wall where the add on used to be. You can see the "horse hair" that was behind the stucco/plaster exposed. We stapled heavy plastic on the areas that were exposed but want to have it restuccoed.
Hello;
I hired a contractor to do some stucco repairs. They installed styrofoam instead of wood when I specifically requested that they replace all rotted wood. This company also conducted electrical work by removing some outlets when they did not have a permit to do so.
They did not complete their job to satisifaction and I am looking for a conctractor.
Need stucco repaired, Bi Level Cab over, new home 2 yrs old. Kensington Homes won't make good on stucco and their installer was Del's Stucco who intially did the work....they parged the front lower window like a big bandage ( a year later that was fixed), no contrtast colour on detail (still outstanding), white wash effect on side of garage wall (still outstanding), windows weren't prepped with plastic and the windows were all stuccoed shut with vinyl window edging broken and lower window scratched and screens damaged (they fixed some of this but never replaced the scratched glass). They came back briefly a year later and added some contrast but only did two lower detail blocks on front of house, they added more white wash effect to front lower picture window and never touched garage....a piece of stucco was missing on back wall so they added a blotch of different colour to fill hole...and they left. In addition the back window was leaking so they removed parging and Del's returned for another 15 min repair job and left a hilly mess and couldn't be bothered to bend down and fill under the window so there exists a gap where snow will melt and water will slip between stucco and wall and of course, eventually do damage. My main concern is receiving a quote as I am headed to small claims whereby I will receive the money for the necessary repairs and repair the affected areas. They repaired the neighbours and redid his front detail, entire side wall of house and upper level...so I am not sure why my repairs were not addressed. I should have sufficient details to prove my case and need quote to support my claim and a qualified company prepared to make the necessary amends.
We are currently accepting quotes for a complete job including removing old stucco/eavs/facia, adding layer of insulation (using MB hydro insulation program you must be registered I am told) and re-stucco/facia and eavs. We want this completed this year, serious inquires only as I am tired of having someone come out and then not give us quotes.
Small home, bungalow, want to re stucco as old stucco is cracked and has been badly repaired in places by the previous owner. Currently home is all stucco with brick around the front door that we would also like to remove. Would like to know different options for what we can do around our front door, we like stone and brick and would like who ever takes on the job to be able to do the stucco work and possible stone work around front door.
