Looking for estimate and rebate information to update insulation in attic and exterior walls and install upgraded windows. Home is not a newer home (maybe 1960s?) and is approximately 1,100 square feet. depending on finding best costs and workable reliable trustworthy contractors, looking to have work completed as soon as possible.
Hi,
I wanted to install a layer of plexiglass over windows in my office building. This is for security reasons to prevent breakage of the windows. At this point in time shutters are not a viable option for me. I wish to install them in such a way that they can be conveniently removed and replaced, since they fade and turn yellow over time.
There is quite a few windows. They are between 8-9 of them and all have the same height of 70 inches however they vary in width from 33 to 45 inches across.
Please see the attached PDF document which provides a detailed description of the project. A Renovation Upgrade Report was completed in late 2021 to qualify for the NRCan Canada Greener Homes Grant for the window and door replacements. The attached document is an expression of interest by the owner in obtaining quotes for this project.
My PVC window casings are popping out and off the Huron windows and need to be re-installed/adjusted. Windows are fine it's just these oak colored casings in the living room bow unit (1 side) and dinning room bay unit (2 sides) need to be reconfigured and attached properly.
Not a big job and someone with experience could do quickly for a fair and reasonable price.
I am looking to have a modification made to the basement of my early-70's house in order to accommodate friends who will be moving in. As it stands there are 3 Main areas in the basement in addition to a laundry/utilities/workspace. The basement is considered a "finished space" with newly installed Dri-core (subfloor system) and laminate flooring.
Currently there are two smallish windows, both located along the back of the house in recesed wells. During recent storms there has been water leaking in around the frames. I have temporarily fixed this with spray foam sealent, however would like to have someone look at a more permanent solution.
One of those windows is currently hidden under the deck and also located directly below a sliding glass door that the previous owners had installed. As this window is essentially useless I would like to see it removed and the opening filled in with concrete to prevent any future leaks.
The second window is located in what would ideally be the bedroom, however I do not believe it is to the size required by code, and as I've had to seal it shut, it currently does not open anyway. In addition I believe the well is not properly installed with adequate drainage and could definitely be made larger for ease of use. Completely replacing this window and frame are within the scope of the work I would like investigated.
As a tertiary item I would like to investigate the possibility of having a window installed in the third room facing towards the side of the house. This would be a separate work item, however if the first project is completed successfully I would welcome the opportunity to follow up on the new window with the same company.
Please submit your ideas and best online estimates and availability for an on-site inspection and I will be in touch. Work can begin as soon as possible with an earliest start date of July 19th. Thank you for your time and attention.

I need 2 second story windows replaced. There are some moisture issues which may require some repairs before the new windows are installed. The front is cedar siding which likely will get damaged with window R&R; to be replaced with vinyl siding. Please indicate if you include materials in your pricing. Estimate required.

I am looking to install a new storm door on the front of my home. Before that can be done, A stucco frame needs to be removed to allow the door to be installed properly. I can see through a small hole that it is a metal mesh-wire frame with stucco and I am looking for someone who can remove this from the house exterior. If there is someone willing and able to do such a project (and consider installing the door as well - would be a bonus but not necessary), I would be grateful.
I have attached some photos of the front door frame, the stucco in question is a maroon-purple color. Doorway with frame is approximately 80 inches (height) by 32 inches (width)

Our house was built in 1995 and the window frames around our second floor glass block windows (in our washroom area) are rotting. We would like to replace the existing wood window frames (brick moldings) with white PVC. See photos 1 and 2 attached.
We would also like to get all of our upper level window frame re-painted white, with an optional cost to replace the brick molding with (maintenance free) white PVC. There are 3 windows that need re-painting or replacement with PVC (see photo 3).
I have a bedroom window that needs to be lifted. The window itself is fine but it is sagging as if it doesn't have enough support to hold it leveled. I assume the person who did the job did not provide adequate support for the window. As a result, the glass panels do not align which allows air to freely blow through. I'm looking for estimates from those who can fix such an issue.
Thank you!
I have two front windows, one in the living room, and one in the bedroom. The windows have two separate panes of glass in each window. Both windows have one of thepane's that has lost it's seal, and has moisture between the panes. I would like to replace only the unsealed panes, not the whole window, along with some interior hardware that needs replacement as well. Can you give me an estimate for this??
1984 custom built house with wood encased bow window in front with 2 crank out windows and 3 sealed units ,each unit is approxiamatey 60 inches high by 22 inches wide.Ech unit is tri pane.
One sealed crank out unit in bedroom same size as front and one sealed crank out in bow and one sealed unit in front non crank out need to be changed. All 5 cranks mechanisms need to be replaced in the house.
Wood encasement still in excellent condition ,so do not want to change to vinyl.I had quotes with window companies that i felt were outrageous in replacing 3 windowes and 5 crank mechanisms.
I need these windows replaced at a reasonable price.
I need someone to replace a bedroom window. The window is approximatly 37 X 37. I want the type that cranks out. Also I need 2 basement windows replaced and 1 window frame re-built. It is the same size as the basement windows but it is an opening to the crawl space.
Please only serious contracts. If you think this is something you can do contact me. If you are not serious about giving a quote and completing the job, just pass me by. This is a small job and will only take 1 day to complete. If you are looking for a large job then this is not for you. I live in St. Vital.
My house was built in 1960 with "California slider" style windows - basically 2 panes of glass in a track. I'm looking to replace these with dual-pane low-E argon vinyl frame windows, preferably combination fixed and awning windows. The job will involve replacing 5-6 windows total, and also increasing the height of the opening for one of those.
NOTE: Initially I would prefer online estimates only and I will contact contractors of interest

Hi all,
I’m working on renovating our kitchen and was curious about the cost of removing a window. I’m planning on turning that space into a wall to add more overhead cabinets. I also want to add some electrical outlets near the countertops, as well as moving the plumbing lines approx. 10 ft across the room to change the sink placement.
I would love to hear the estimated cost for this project so I have an idea on how much to budget. Thanks!
