I have a few projects in mind based upon the quotation and time, I am wondering which would be possible for us:
1. I am thinking to have a primary bedroom suite development over my garage and family room.
2. Looking to have a kitchen build in the garage space.
3. Garage extension - wondering if I can extend garage toward my driveway, my driveway is quite large in length
Two story split level entry home, 20+ years old.
We're looking to expand our front entrance. The extent to which is under consideration and we're looking for options. Some landscaping to redirect the walkway to the driveway will likely also be required. We're looking to add at least two to five feet to the front entrance. We're uncertain as to the skills or difficulty of the renovation - electrical or plumbing may to be moved.
60 yr old single family dwelling. Partially exposed basement with converted drive-in basement level garage used as wreckroom. Want to raise house 3ft. Currently using full basement, main floor with a one-sided dormer'ed 2nd floor. Want to complete 2nd floor (add another dormer ?) and/or possibly add a 3rd floor. Will need interior renovations on main floor. Move main floor bathroom (plumbing shouldn't be affected) by turning around existing toilet, sink, etc to face in opposite direction where wall will be moved in to add space to this bathroom. Want the main floor to be an open concept so exisitng two bedrooms will need walls removed and would like arches to match exisitng arches. Would be interested in a contractor who has experience or access to an interior design agent to ensure plan feasibility.
Note: These are our initials thoughts and we are open to suggestions that are more investment responsible or asthetically pleasing. We are open to proposal interviews (by appointment) by interested contractors. References will be required.
We look forward to working with you.
Thanks,
Ken & Eliz.
Our house is and old house and over the years previous owners have done a total of 3 additions. More than 84 years old, and with only a crawl space all the additions have not made anything better. now we wants to do a second floor addition because this is the only way to gain the addition 600 sq. ft. we need. The house is 915 in total, the newest addition is 315, so the second floor addition we want to do is on the 600 sq. ft. back portion. We believe we require a house lift to first the foundation so it will carry the second floor addition. We built right and not to into fancy finishes. So the new addition will be 2 bedrooms, one will be the master with an ensuite and walk in closet. Plus a laundry room, powder room combined.
House is a 50' by 25' raised bungalow with a furnished basement. It is 40 years old, in excellent condition. 2 years ago the basement garage was refinished into 2 additional bedrooms to make space for a combined family. (Now 8 children). Now looking at adding an entire floor above the house. The new floor would be 50' by 35' with the extra 10' hanging over the rear of the house. This floor would contain a large living room on the side, 6 bedrooms, and 1 full bathroom with the plumb wall over the existing plumb wall on the main floor. The roof would have an elevated angle to allow for a storage space/playroom attic to extend the length of the house under the roof, perhaps about 12' wide. We are looking for rough estimates at this time for budgeting purposes, and to provide a contact with whom we can investigate the details of the design and options.
